But hey....none of that matters because we're going to the ship!
I decided to wait a day before posting anything, because I was so pumped after the game that I doubted my perspective.
What impressed me last night and has impressed me all season is the physical and mental toughness of this team. The coaches and the players rise up when adversity makes lesser teams crumble. They reach down and come up with their best performance when the game is on the line. The guys in the trenches, both sides of the ball, are intimidated by no one.
The only single player I am going to name is Mike Golic. That guy has stepped it up and performed when the games get tough.[/QUOTE]
I agree that Mike stepped his game up. So did Farley. Both these guys dialed it up and were playing above their typical selves. Leave everything on the field!
Where are the calls from the talking heads that our Admissions are too tough to get the "Elite" players in to SB?
Where are the calls from the talking heads saying that we're irrelevant and should join a conference because we're treading water as an independent?
So proud of this football team and University. You've allowed people like us to believe again. We Are...N.D.
Love Thee Notre Dame
If Everett and Eifert get on point within the 20, no one can stop us.
Keivarae is going places. So are Bennett and Mathias. That second pass interference call on Kevairae was a phantom call don't you think. Was that why B.K. was so hot with the officiating crew shortly after?
I'm pretty sure Kelly was livid because USC went and did the "Bush Push" again like in 2005 and the refs failed to flag USC for this. Only this time, not even an illegal push from a running back could help USC get in the endzone.

I think he was actually mad because someone stopped the clock for no reason after one of the goaline stuffs and he was telling the officials it was "on you."
Also a legitimate theory. I'm guessing there's no radio interview today with B.K. staying out west to recruit. I'd like someone to ask him about it.
Another thing, I think it was that last punt by S.C.; the punter was around their 5 or 10 yard line, the snap was low and he fielded it with one knee on the ground ( at least it looked that way to me on the television). If I'm right and I think I am, shouldn't that have been marked down on that spot and given to us, first and goal? Anybody else see that, not that it matters, just looking for thoughts here.
The best part of all of this is that this team is going to get a ton of extra practice time. It's going to help the young guys, in particular Golson big time. A month of extra practice against the best defense in the country and I fully expect our offense to play great in the NC.
Oh, and I love you guys. What. A. Feeling.
An additional month of practice is more benefical to Golson at his level of development than to either McCarron or Murray at their's. Both are finishing their 4th year in a Div 1 program.
Murray is ranked #1 in NCAA QB EFF and McCarron is #2. Golson is way down at #61 but he's been climbing up the list for several weeks.
I thought the NC was vacated by FSU, wouldn't that mean that Nd won the NC that year?
