We want Texas to get its crap together and win at least 6-7 ball games this year --- that pragmatic should be obvious to anybody. As to recruiting, clobbering the juices out of Texas should lean Texas recruits to us no matter how many other games they win.

I feel a little better considering our special teams and D. I am pleased with Zaire's performance, but I am considering what will happen once their is some game film on him. But you are right, he is unfazed and seems like a very confident guy who has been there before.

I am not too concerned about our offense, as I think it looked like it was running well even with the backups, and with the defense knowing we were running. Kizer looked fine, just missed his one throw, but receiver got open. Defense will be interesting to see develop in the coming weeks.

Speaking of play calling and the new qb, I know we should've had one on the first touchdown, but did we have any delay of game penalties? If not, when was the last time that happened? Seems like three or four coaches ago...

He said before the game that he was going to have the final say on play calls. Haven't seen anything afterwards.

They did, and he continued to be cryptic about it. Keeps going on about the dialogue and being on the same page and yada yada. It's still unclear 1) who decides what play to run, and 2) who communicates that information to Malik.

Disappointed in this weeks ICON video, except the locker room at the end which was awesome and hilarious...and it's great watching Malik speak...passion and leadership just ooze out of that kid in everything he does.
