Lmao...reps
Bull shyte!! Early in the 4th quarter, it was 27-21, Oklahoma. One stop by the D, and one more TD by the O, and ND is winning. Instead, the Defense barfs all over itself and gives up a 5 play, 75 yard TD drive.
Or if we don't give up 21 points on TRs ****ing turnovers we are up 21-7 and the defense making a stop is irrelevant. The fans persistent attempts to justify Rees is baffling. HE BLOWS! It's not his fault he just simply isn't talented enough to compete at a BCS level. He is not mobile at all, and has a weak arm! Good QBs are either mobile or have good arms, great QBs have both, Rees has neither.
Rees only gave up 1 pick 6 not 3. The D gave up the other 2 following his picks. Just about everyone else seems to not realize that.
Being thrown onto the field in bad field position 0:50 seconds into the game down 7 is what caused the D to give up the second TD.

On the one pick that was tipped, TJ Jones said that both him and DD ran the wrong routes.
How good was Manti?

Why? They weren't tired. It was :50 sec into the game. The position they were in wasn't favorable. But Rees doesn't play D.

Manti was good at pursing and open field tackling ( something our LB'S/DB's are not good at this year) however what he wasn't good at was shedding blocks and I saw this quite a few times, however he made plays when the defense needed it
And ideally they stop them. But momentum is huge in this game, and right then the other guys had it (not to mention the ball inside the 30 yard line). Tough to blame the defense more than Tommy. After the third pick, they went a long way to score. Not really Tommy's "fault" there, but he did cost us a field goal for sure.
The bigger trouble - as others have said - was his winding out the game with eight or nine straight incompletions. You just can't do that.
Not to nit pick but unfortunately one interception led to 7 directly and the other negated 3 points at least, without involving the defense. That's 10 point swing ultimately on the offenses shoulders.Rees only gave up 1 pick 6 not 3. The D gave up the other 2 following his picks. Just about everyone else seems to not realize that.
I am not "making up" anything. If you read the OP, I specifically stated that Rees played "a bad game". But Rees is not the only, or even the major problem with this team. And I, for one, am sick and tired of hearing the ignorant and intellectually lazy claim that it is that easy; that it's all Rees' fault.

Past two games: 23/58 (39.7% completion percentage), 246 yds, 3 TDs, 3 INTs
Just finished watching the full game. I really think Oklahoma didn't beat Notre Dame, Notre Dame beat themselves with 3 turn overs and costly penalties on defense.

ND had turnovers but so did OU.The O line still hasnt figured out how to block. The first INT was due to a missed block by the TE.Defensive penalties were fatal in the 4th quarter.Masa should get a shot next week.
