Everyone who still wants to keep Kelly needs to explain to the rest of us what the conditions are that would justify firing him. WTF would it take?
Yes ... Navy punted one time.

Wrong, Zero. Navy possessions:
TD
Downs
TD
End of Half (30 second drive)
TD
TD
End of Game
We had 6 (six!) offensive possessions all game. That's the fewest for any FBS team since 2008.
The first field goal was actually part of the problem as well. We had 3rd and 2 in the red zone and we decided to go 5 wide. We fail to convert and kick an FG instead. What does that say when your coach would rather pass than try to get 2 yards in 2 plays?I didn't watch the game but:
Touchdown
Field Goal
Punt
Touchdown
Touchdown
Field Goal
Looks like a great game for the offense on paper.

My Observations:
1. Josh Adams ran hard. I think he averaged 7 yards a carry. Too bad he only got 12 touches I think.
2. WR corp played well. Were open all day. Didn't see any drops.
3. In a game that should have been a signature game for Tranquil, he disappeared. I had to go back thru the Twitter feed to see if he was hurt.
4. Julian Love made some nice plays getting off the cut blocks on the outside.
5. I am not advocating one way or another for a coaching change, but I think once they become NOT bowl eligible, Swarbrick will make the change. Once its official that they have the whole month of December to search/interview for a coach, that will be the nail in the coffin.
One thing I've learned is you beat Navy with your offense. That's why Kelly going for FGs so was frustrating. TD% in our five wins under Kelly were:
2011 - 8/12
2012 - 6/10
2013 - 5/8
2014 - 7/11
2015 - 6/10
You need to be over 50%. In our two losses to Navy:
2010 - 2/8
2016 - 3/6
If my dumbass understands the need to score TDs against Navy, how does Kelly not realize this after all the years we've played them? Do we need more analysts?
One of the great mysteries of this season (and really the entire Kelly era) for me has been how he does his risk reward calculations. He came in with a reputation as a coach who would roll the dice and push the tempo and now we're kicking field goals from the 2?
What happened to the guy who wanted to run 100 plays a game and was willing to roll the dice?
