It was not intended to be that way. I was pretty riled up, and just processed "the game" as "the game of football". It was actually an attempt to be kind of light.

Riled up or not, and based on your willful disregard of respect shown in previous posts I am not seeing how it could have been anything else but a continuation of the behavior.

I was traveling and forgot to wear my lucky socks. This one is on me guys. The socks were 6-0 (had worn them every game day so far). Without the socks we are 0-1. Coincidence?

I see ppl who dont watch much football still in denial lol. If you wanna know why ND lost, its because kelly is pass happy. ND ran 2 more times with RB's then fsu. Let that sink in. how dominate the run game was, how awful theirs was. Only 2 more times. Theres a reason fsu had the ball so much 2nd half. Kelly being Kelly.

Got a question, who do you believe would be a better coach than Kelly that would actually take the job with all the bs they would have to deal with that comes with this job? I personally can't imagine anyone else right now and we both know Saban isn't walking thru that door. I'm not being a smart ass btw I'm just curious as to what your thoughts are? Believe me I would rather see a run heavy power football team but if ND can be competitive again playing this way I'll take it! Haha

Not to really defend him, because I think there was another reason (outlined in one of my previous posts in here) why Kelly went pass heavy. But why do people always ask who is a better fit at coach, when someone is critical of our coach? You can be critical, and still think that we have the right guy in the job. My CEO is a guy I have known for about 25 years now. We served together in the Navy, so we have that "Band of Brothers"-ish bond. But that doesn't mean that I think he is always right. And, conversely, just because I think he is sometimes wrong, that doesn't mean that I want to work for someone else. At the risk of moralizing here; it is ok to be critical, if you have some logical basis for the criticism and you aren't just running around screaming like Chicken Little.

This is straight-up potato (lol!). Almost every sports writer who has analyzed the game, even those who typically hate on ND, has singled out Kelly's masterful play-calling for praise. We aren't on FSU's level talent-wise, and one of the only reasons we had an opportunity to win the game at the end was because Kelly out-coached Jimbo.

Kelly as an offensive person, does nothing for me. Maybe things will be diff when he gets a qb that can see the middle of field easily plus have arm strenght. However when kizer/winbush assuming hes actually 6'2+ starts/plays will kelly still be here. Kelly doesnt create passing lanes for golson like saints do for brees.

Because Weis was well-known for his commitment to the run, amiright? Maybe Kelly's just not calling enough back-shoulder Fades?

Weis was working with Quinn and Clausen. Most of Kelly's resume has featured Rees. I trust I don't need to explain why that makes a big difference.

Saw this in the comments section of A new look at that controversial call during ND vs. FSU | Sports - WSBT.com It appears to be an FSU fan using it to mock those that think ND got hosed on THE CALL. The biggest take away I got is that a TON of people not usually in ND corner (some of whom probably actively dislike us), are all on our side!

Fans know that college football is better off when ND is among the elite even if they don't normally like them.

Saturday's game was straight out of WWF or WWE. ND (normally bad guy) has been down. The new villan is FSU and everyone hates them because they refuse to do anything but have contempt for everyone else and play by their own rules. Here comes the one bad guy (ND) that can put FSU in its place and everyone suddenly loves them. The rematch is coming folks.

This year's version isn't on the same Olympian level, but they've still got a strong claim to being more talented than anyone else in the nation. And they're certainly more talented than we are. Fortunately we're much better coached.

But I wouldn't expect someone who admits to pining for Chaz Weis--who just failed at his 3rd consecutive college coaching gig-- to understand that.

Weis always had less than desirable offenses at ND in my opinion never got anything done against good defenses and a lot of the points scored were usually once teams got up big and weren't playing as tight as they were earlier in the game when we were getting our ass handed to us. I understand you didn't say anything about who would be a better coach but by saying Kelly being Kelly and in a few other posts talking about Kelly to me that seems to imply you think someone else would be better so i was simply asking who? As far as the QB height that you brought up i have no idea how that helps us to become a team that sticks more to the run? Either way you answered my question.

With out me googling, the penalty yards on foul was obviously 15yds. I thought offensive pi was 5 yards. Kinda like how defensive holding is less yardage then offensive.

Charlie Weis had 3 plays. If he had this receiving corps his offense would be garbage. He lucked out by getting Floyd and Tate. He never developed anyone in his whole time here.

ND 24, 47, 49 & 88. Bama 2012 & 1961, Miami 2001, Army 1945, Oklahoma 1956, Nebraska 1971, USC 1972 are teams that I think would beat them.
