Possible Site Redesign - What would you like to see?

Okay, since I just upgraded site to the newest version, I have found out there is a bunch of changes in the new software. That said, I'm contemplating working on a new design and would like ot get some feedback.

- Do you like the current thread layout with the user info on the top of the post or do you like the legacy version with it to the left?

- Would you like to see a traditional Blue/Gold color scheme?

- Would you like to see a liquid style, meaning that it fills the entire screen?

Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated!

I personally liked the old layout better. Probably get used to this eventually, although I think it ads more blank space, especially for those with avatars.

Blue and gold would be good, although the current colors look great too.

One other suggestion I had would be some sort of marker on the title of profile threads of recruits that could show you that they had a confirmed offer.

I like the new look. Lots of wasted space though due to avatars. Long running threads could therefore turn out to be 30-40-50 pages long.

Use ND color schemes and rotate them bi-tri annually.

No to liquid.

Other notes: I like the "multi-quote" option. Although, right now, the link doesn't work.

i like the new layout, but you could keep the articles/random media you had at the top of the old layout on the bottom of the new layout. just an idea. i like having the quick reference articles, but hated scrolling so far down every time i opened the site.

Absolutely love the blue & gold.........delighted when I jumped on the site. Green is great...but these are the true colors that intimidate Irish foes when they glance across the field toward the opposing sideline. Okay, I got a little carried away......

I like the old one color green...It seems to be a better color scheme and one of the rules of graphic design is to keep the color scheme simple for looks...just my opinion, though.

All that's left to change is the header graphics and I will do those this evening at home. I think the new Blue and Gold looks pretty slick, almost metallic.

I'm a green jersey guy but this blue and gold are sharp. One problem I had was finding "Forums". Perhaps it's mental, gold shirts suck at a game. I struggled to find it.

It does but the date and time in the skinny text is hard on my eyes, like looking at text through the top and bottom of bifocals together. Probably the shadow effect but the fatter text (post number?) on the right side (above a post) lo0ks good. Same for "Relpy to Thread" on the left and "Thread:" on the right when typing a post. The actual thread text in this case, "Possible Site Redesign ..." is more difficult to read. I think it's worse on the gold bands than the blue. Bigger contrast I guess.

It seems like you made a couple of changes:

1. Changed the text color to black on the sorry don't know the correct terminology reading page. It's still white on the Reply to Thread page. Both are easier on my eyes now.

2. Changed the bottom shading on the bars

3. Changed the "texture" of the blue and gold bars. They don't look as vibrant ("metallic") as it did before.

With the blue background, it looks much nicer. I kinda dig the new look...but if you happened to go back to green, that would be cool tool.

Like the old style. Prefer the old green color (no B&G). No fluid screen.
