No explanation why and on what grounds, he just says he's going to seek a death penalty at a standard of proof beyond reasonable doubt. Dude is wacko. It's hard to contemplate why in a slightly red leaning Ohio you would even run on such an extreme position. It's a bit reminiscent of Letitia James running on prosecuting Trump but more extreme and he's doing this in a state that isn't full blue.
