I agree of course that these things shouldn't be said. I do think in both these cases mentioned here, there was intent to actual kill the politicians children or stomp on an opponents face with spikes, but they should just not use these metaphors or send these private messages. One question I do have is why did the Republican Rep he sent the "bullets to head and children die" text message to - which was a private message - suddenly decide to release the message 3+ years later? Strange. Sounds like she saved those for the right time to surface them when needed to strike down a political opponent. Nonetheless, this is wrong and the candidate should drop out of the race. At least he owned his words and apologized and many Democrats came out and said the comments were "abhorrent." I don't think one Democrat's private horrible message in one state means the Democrats are actually promoting and fomenting political violence across U.S. political races.

What kind of idiot with a political career puts that crap in writing - even you folks that agree with his sentiment have to question his judgement to open himself up like that. Sociopathic narcissists don't see it that way - not agreeing is the bigger fault.

What's more disturbing is when people in power in the current administration are fomenting political violence against Democrat judges because they don't like how the rulings are going against Trump and his admin. Exhibit 1 is none other than the despicable Stephen Miller, who over the weekend went off and did exactly that

Next thing you know, within hours of Miller's tweets, a Democrat-appointed circuit court judge, Diane Goldstein, who recently ruled against Trump, and who had been receiving death threats since she issued a temporary injunction in September on the release of the state’s voter files to the Trump administration-led US justice department, has an explosion obliterate her home. Three people were sent to the hospital including her husband and son. The SC Chief Justice stated that the fire appeared to have been caused by an “explosion”, and sources close to Goodstein told media that the judge had received recent death threats.

To be fair, the cause of the blaze is not immediately known and is being investigated but with Goodstein facing death threats, some are questioning whether the fire at the judge’s home may be the US’s latest example of politically-themed violence fomented by Trump and his admin.

We will have to wait and see what the cause of the explosion was.

Of course you don't text that stuff but I'm curious of the context of the text to the Republican Rep and why she suddenly decided to release the text contents now?

Once again, Miller is trying way too hard to brand the left as "the organized terrorist attack" (whatever that means?) that seeks to "overturn votes with violence."

How rich is this tweet when that's exactly what Trump, Miller and this admin are trying to do with sending the ICE horde and Federalized NG forces into our large, blue cities... GTFO!

Keep crying over a mayoral election in a place you don't live, southerner.
I don't want a Chavez inspired socialist running America's most important and populous city

She does look like she gets riled too easily for a politician... That's too bad.

Speaking of getting riled... Things heating up in the Capitol as d54 says, both sides need to de-escalate.
