Joe was very clear for over a year he would respect the jury. Now- This pardon is sweeping. Anything crimes he committed or “may have committed for an 11 year period.” Aka- all that money. All that corruption.

This is disgusting. I’m always disturbed when Presidents pardon people for nefarious reasons. I think it’s abusing the power of their office.

I haven’t read the pardon, does it also include any additional crimes that Hunter may commit in the future?

How can you pardon someone who hasn’t been investigated yet. Like Bush sr giving Dahmer immunity to kill.

Because he knows the crimes haven’t all been prosecuted yet. He knows his hands are dirty in it. That’s why our corrupt President didn’t just commute the sentence and avoid jail, he went back to about the time that whole Ukraine deal came about and did a broad bush pardon. Hunter walks without any consequences.

You do have to laugh at the people up in arms over this. I mean, the same people who called it "lawfare" for what happened to Trump are now very seriously upset at Biden. Pretzel logic.

I'm irritated by it because of how he's doing it.

First, he said he would not do it. He ran for POTUS on the idea that no one was above the law, even his own son.

Second, he says he changed his mind, this was an unfair prosecution, and then makes the blanket pardon retroactive to January 2014.

This isn't about the gun/tax stuff. Hunter'a sentencing was set for this week. If Joe thought the punishment didn't fit the crime, then he could have pardoned accordingly. But he didn't do that. This is 10 year 11 month blanket pardon.

Yeah and I think you're right. I think you've been pretty consistent on the legal stuff.

I just don't see how anyone here can be performatively upset at Biden doing corrupt shit when they hand wove away any legal matter as "lawfare" for Donny. If you label everything as a political hitjob it becomes hard to take them seriously.

I don't blame Biden for pardoning his son. I would do the same thing in his position. It's mildly sketchy that he said he wouldn't and then reverses course, but that's par for politicians. Like I said before, hopefully both parties can move past the partisan investigations and just do their jobs. The reality is nothing was ever going to happen to these big wigs and their children. When you're at the top you're usually either immune or insulated from punishment. Punishment is usually only reserved for the little guys....and shit stains like Epstein that have too much dirt on said big wigs...in which case you get whacked to protect the guilty.

Why is everyone up in arms that Joe lied about pardoning Hunter?

Joe never drove an 18 wheeler
He lied about his class ranking
Also lied about getting arrested for protesting civil rights
Lied about gas being $5 a gallon when he took office
Said Billionaires average tax is 3%
On more than one occasion lied about Beau being killed in Iraq
Lied about growing up in a Puerto Rican neighborhood
Lied about his house burning down with his wife in it

That's what I'm saying. I'm not surprised he's pardoning him, I would have probably done the same, but also...he's a politician...so also not surprised he did a 180 on the pardon promise. It's what politicians do.
Leftist LMAO

All Sides' site rates Economist as a left lean, but you're right. 2 out of the 3 sites I check had them as Center which is admirable and almost impossible for most publications today. Not sure it affects Drayer's message that much though. I kinda want to check out the article now.

Economist has been clear left slant this whole cycle. It’s not just that Biden lied about it, it’s how he did this massive sweeping pardon and not just commuting the sentence. It’s how it goes back to the whole time Hunter was making money off the Burisma Hustle. The Biden’s profited big off the White House and just proved that they are above the law. The media has been running cover on this for months and again showed how big of a joke they are. The left has zero moral high ground or right to criticize anyone for anything after this disgraceful administration.

Feels eerily similar to the Dem's needing to do undemocratic things in the name of saving democracy.

A man of the people. LOL. He must've seen the options this year of Trump, Biden and Harris and thought to himself. I'm a better option than these idiots.

He's got another 9 years before he's able, so it'll be awhile. Talk about anti establishment lol. Not sure he'd get through the primary, but stranger things have happened. I'm assuming he chooses one of the two sides and doesn't go independent.

He probably won't be on YouTube in 9 years.
