Justin Giboney is from the school of Jonathan Turley centrism. Handwaving away progressive policies because somehow it’s just as bad as bad evangelicalism lol. Best way to maintain conservative policies is to equate both sides as equally bad.
Wasn’t familiar with Giboney.

Read a bit about him. One quote that jumped out at me about his organization the AND Campaign was “Its primary goal is to spread the love and truth of the Gospel to the world.”

Again, there’s a whole bunch of ways to interpret the “truth of the Gospel”. So no thanks on that.

An interview I read conducted with him was littered with the same bullshit platitudes like the one posted above. How about posting some simple, clear, concise policy stances and goals and leaving it at that?

Anyhow, most of these 501c3 policy think tanks, PAC’s and the like seem more like ways to grift post Citizens United (a Grade A “conservative” world view shit sandwich if there ever was one) more than anything else.

Yeah....he's Coach Speak but mix in Christian Theocracy.

They do a bang up job of framing themselves as the "middle ground" where it's Libs of Tiktok on one side and a progressive on the other - and then saying something like "You know, LoT shouldn't say euthanatize the trans people but they carry an important message that all progressives want to groom your children". And then you see real life adults who don't wear diapers say shit like "You know, Biden is actually hyper progressive! He won't find common ground with the other side who want to rollback rights so that makes him a progressive"

Which is great that Biden is adopting right wing policy positions because they think they'll somehow outflank the Right on anti immigration shit. No voter is going to vote for the guy who adopts the policy positions of the Right but doesn't go all the way to say stuff like "ARMY ON BOARDER NOW!!! KILL THE MEXICANS! KILL THE RAPISTS!".

Mexicans are the least concerning border crossers.

I thought Maher laid this out pretty well. Immigration, European elections,
Meloni, the Democratic party and their roots.

That guy couldn't counter Maher, so he tries to cover by saying he hates to disagree on a technicality. lol

I think Biden is going to be replaced..

The question is who. They know they need a reset so Kamala has to go even though she is the perfect empty suit.

From Ballotpedia.com:
In 2024, there are an estimated 4,672 delegates: 3,933 pledged delegates and 739 automatic delegates—more commonly known as superdelegates.[1][2]

To win the Democratic nomination, a presidential candidate needs to receive support from a majority of the pledged delegates on the first ballot: an estimated 1,968 pledged delegates

If the convention is contested and goes to a second ballot or more, automatic delegates—commonly referred to as superdelegates—are able to vote and a candidate must receive majority support from all delegates—2,258 votes. Previously, superdelegates were able to vote on the first ballot. This rule changed after the 2016 presidential election, when the Unity Reform Commission proposed several ways to reduce the number and power of superdelegates

Gavin Newsome seems to be the concensus. They shut RFK Jr. out and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot in the old guard. The new guard is nuts.

I read this article a couple of months ago, and this opinion writer for The Hill made a reasonable argument. Given her current position, given her ability to check off several boxes of the Dem's identity politics, given the late nature, it would most likely be Harris. Harris has got a ton of problems, but if you think that identity politics would not play a factor for a potential Biden replacement, I got a bridge to sell you.

It would be a tough sell, for sure.

Mildly interesting. I did think it was funny that a significant number of people surveyed

Please summarize your view of Joe Biden in a word. Answer: Biden
Please summarize your view of Donald Trump in a word. Answer: Trump.

God help us all.

Why didn't Joe mention those requirements when he was promoting this? He'll eventually tell everyone this was a cost savings. lol

In reality this is good. Back when he announced this, I asked why he was doing this instead of letting the tech companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon pay for their own expansion?

I saw some Musk traffic saying Starlink could provide internet for a third of the country for this cost.

Yeah they're turning down 42 billion dollars because they don't want to hire some DEI people.

Suuuuuuuuure lol.
Looks like they do want to hire justice impacted people, whatever that is. Maybe the applicants needed more than 8 EV chargers from his other boondoggle project to get there. Or they were all building that expensive pier in Gaza. Who knows 🤷‍♂️

You see, Biden clearly lied to them and tricked them! I believe him to be both an empty husk, and a mob boss who can trick these poor unsuspecting companies.

These companies would never do something performative to try and make a buck! (Close your eyes for all of June with the pride flags from these companies).

One can be inept and have decades of enriching a family through sold access while being way too old and likely wearing a diaper. Easily plausible.

Also, the idea that Dems regulate themself into a corner and/or don’t know how to build anything isn’t a new concept.

My favorite example-

Dan McNamara, a project manager for SNCF, told the Times after recommendations made by the company were ignored by the state the company decided to pull out.

"There were so many things that went wrong," McNamara told the Times. "SNCF was very angry. They told the state they were leaving for North Africa, which was less politically dysfunctional."

What I wasn't saying anything about people on here? I was poking at the companies who throw a pride flag up for a month thinking that's anything other than cheap performative activism.

But if you really need a name of someone on here who's against LGBTQ people it would be RDU, buddy can't talk about them without calling someone a groomer.
