That's where I'm at. It's a crude system, but I don't see how it's easily gamed. If you've got a set number of people you should have the same number of votes at the end. Votes can't really be changed once they're in the bag. I guess the guy reading the votes off could start putting votes for one candidate in someone else's pile, but there are other people seated with him to verify already and I assume they go back and verify the piles at the end.
What happens if they fill the sacks? Do they run down the to local IGA and grab some more? ;)

You'd think in an election year, this being as popular as it is, it will get a lot of yes votes. Very curious to see who votes against it, and if it fails, what the narrative looks like leading up to the General in November.

Yep, effeminate men. Even half of gay men support Trump. Pretty sure this group of men are one of the foundational issues with our nation. I have no desire to be part of effeminate male crowd.
You’d love the Castro in San Francisco then! There’s a good deal of hyper masculine dudes there that would snap someone like Reaper in half and beat him at his own game.

Hes also been an accomplice to armed robbery and a drug addict. He is the weird fan you know who thinks because his favorite football team has done well, he personally knows and understands the game better than others.

Great! My wife will be happy to hear that but, some of the posts and the religious ideas expressed by yourself and many right wing politicians as well as some of the posts in that Marcus Freeman thread would seem to run counter to that argument. In fact many on the right seem obsessed with the sex lives of others. Anyhow, have a good one!

Nah, that kind of detail can only come from experience. It's fine I guess as long as your wife is cool with it 😀

ND is the crown jewel of catholic universities in the world. If you have a problem with religious ideas, you probably should find another university/team to root for. There are hundreds of them.

You got me there.

I lived and worked in San Francisco for about nine years. Had a construction business for about four of those. Lots of my clients were gay. They were all super cool! Always paid on time and never tried to nickel and dime me.

Used to get hit on quite a bit at the 24 Fitness near where I lived. That got a bit annoying after awhile but my girlfriend at the time thought it was funny.

Played in lots of bands as well with gay dudes and have friends who are gay too. They are super cool!

Anyhow, one bar called the SF Eagle used to have punk and rock shows on a regular basis. Played there a number of times. Everyone was super friendly and respectful. They also paid better than most other clubs. Imagine that!

My wife is fine with all of the above. Lol.

To your edit. I have no problem with “religious” ideas. In fact, my dad who I respect and admire is the most devout Catholic I’ve ever met. What I have a huge problem with is the application and imposition of said ideas as a matter of convenience. Talk the talk? Then walk the walk.

For example, I find it interesting and problematic that a good number of Christians will talk out of one side of their mouth saying things like “radical leftists are at war with Christians” while at the same time extolling the virtues of laissez faire capitalism, which in my estimation has done more to debase Christianity vis a vis sales and marketing.

The holiest day in the Catholic calendar? Seems to me it is more about chocolate bunnies and egg hunts than Christ. Christmas? Mobs in stores seeking the hot ticket item. The holiest day of the week? Sports and brunch. But yeah, Marxism.

All of the above does make sense though because in a true capitalist system there isn’t anything that can’t be commodified and therefore, in my opinion nothing is sacred.

Don’t even get me started on the whole “abortion bad, capital punishment good” paradox.

Anyhow, I think there is a place in this world for serious thinkers that come from a Catholic perspective. I am also a big believer in the idea that we are all interconnected as a “flock”. Maybe not as children of god or Christ or whatever but maybe more in a biological/ecological sense. Like seagulls or something.

Go Irish!

Your obsession with people you claim have an obsession with "*sex organs of everyone, especially children" is not a totally normal thing.

lol, I teased him a bit about this awhile back. Canadians can be really strange. They wanted to go to war with us once over a pig, hence The Pig War.

lol sure thing bud. Just like your obsession with needing to respond everyone of my comments.

You asking for my input or did you quote me by accident?

I don't think a political body should be outright banning something that is recognized as medical treatment. I would prefer the doctors be the ones to decide whether a patient should receive it.

A little off the current topic but I couldn't help notice American-style politics making its way north of the 49th.

Not sure who this "Let's Go Brandon" guy is but he seems to really have Torontonians pretty excited!

Cheers and Go Irish!!

That's right, trust the doctors to make the right choice. They would never push something to make a buck. I'm sure they said "trust the doctors" when bloodletting was a thing...and mercury rubs...and chloroform...and nightshade...and ether...and arsenic...and in more recent times, overprescribing opioids and being incentivized by the manufacturers. There was an incentive program to push the jab too.

If it's a basic health or life saving, then I am doing what the doctor says. When it comes to cosmetic, plastic or behavior modifying procedures, no.

I mean, they are still wiring peoples jaws shut because, 'that's what the patient wants'. Ethic malpractice stuff.

This thread has unironically come to this

I can not believe that supporters of small government and deregulation, are *shocked* that the healthcare industry has institutional issues that having profit motives impeding quality of care. Therefore, I have concluded that the handful of trans kids must suffer and I know better.
