Trump's entire life he has undermined himself, he has to have some sort of humiliation kink. Whether it's business/political he's embarrassed himself at every point. He was given everything and pissed all over it.

No. The Steele dossier was commissioned by the Republicans.

If the current president did what Trump did, he should be in jail. I’m not sure I know what you think Biden did that was on par with a coup, but anything that is proven and not just deviant partisan speculation should be held to account. Always. No exceptions. If Hunter did what the Trump children did, he should be in jail. All that’s left is proving the wrong-doing instead of just publicly declaring it to be factual with nothing but hearsay and dishonest partisan swipes.

I’m all for accountability for everyone. Hell, throw them all in jail and start with a fresh batch of well-meaning, public service-minded citizens who are perpetually under oath, on the hook for any and all public statements, and at a minimum be forced to publicly correct their lies.

I’m all about dismantling the political parties and cutting the Citizens United cancer from American politics. It is wealthy corporate donors who are waging war on John Q Public and the political parties are nothing but cheap, nearly unaccountable, power brokers whose job it is to rile their constituents and bend them to the will of the wealthy. Until the money is pulled out of politics and playing field is leveled citizens will continue to be used as pawns.

I dont see any cultural appropriation. Raised by mom and dad. Values/ethics/etc generally come from parents and family.

My cousin grew up in Rhode Island. Her parents are from BFE even by ND standards. She has two degrees from Columbia, like Ron she went on an athletic scholarship. She's much more like us than like the community she grew up in. Even has our accent (think the movie Fargo but much less pronounced)

I get the joking about it. Its a little wonky. And yes, it's pandering. But he's not your typical Florida Man nor is he an ivory tower ivy league guy. When you think of a Double Ivy educated lawyer, someone like Ron DeSantis is not what pops into your head. He got there by being good at sports, went to be a JAG instead of Cravath, Fried Frank, or Jones Day.

Dude is basically an "everyman" with Ivy League bona fides. I'm sorta convinced he was built in a lab by the GOP. Mom and Dad are from prominent swing states. Grows up in a big swing state. Goes to Yale....to play baseball. Goes to Harvard to study the law. Turns down BigLaw to go serve the country.

Rick Wilson is also a midget in both the mental and physical sense. He'll say whatever he needs so he can pay off his tax liens.

Wilson is a horrible human being. He knew for close to an entire year that LP's co-founder, John Weaver, was preying on younger boys and tried to cover it up.

Not sure what the solution is with the banks. Watch them fail and some bad things happen. Give them money and some bad things happen.

Disagree. We have too many folks (like you?) who are blinded by their party loyalty & always interpret issues w/ the nuance to favor their opinion. There’s no talking about the things we agree on & agreeing to disagree on the other stuff. It’s all about “winning an argument” & getting “likes” for most Americans. Most of these threads are two sides beating their heads against a wall trying to prove the other side is wrong, racist, etc. Arguments have devolved to the point that calling someone a “Nazi”, “Fascist” or “racist” has minimal shock value & devalues what folks who truly were brutalized or traumatized by the likes of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, slaveholders or segregationists truly went through.
