And my point is that the bulk of the media does the bidding of the Democratic party. If you can't see that, you have your head in the sand.
Surely you expect a capitalist venture to market their product to their target base? It's not like being a news org is indictive of being a Liberal shill.

By this site Fox News has more viewers than both MSNBC and CNN - https://www.statista.com/statistics/373814/cable-news-network-viewership-usa/

With the way it's spoken around here Fox is just some mom and pop business.

I thought it was orange man's fault?

Would you care to respond to my response asking for your support to what economic principles or judgements you are making to support the claim that actions prior to Biden and up to 14 years ago have little effect on the conditions today?

Or are we going to stick to these intelligent zingers?

When you put the conversation in context, you look silly. Big media and liberal push to cry foul on Georgia voting "rights". To the point a Major League Baseball All-Star Game was removed from Georgia and other businesses left as well and took their business elsewhere. We get a report that voting is off the charts so people rightfully mock the liberal media and your only retort is "But Fox News". Sadly golly... Fox News was right on this one doncha know.

My post was making a joke about how the defacto excuse for anything is "media", I didn't make any mention to anything in Georgia. Literally just making a joke about how the media is the go to for the Apologists.

At the end of the day these businesses, and businesses and will do whatever they can to make a profit. Do you honestly believe that the MLB/"Big Media" are these leftist operatives that care more about whatever political issue? Of course they don't. Is it "liberal" to market something towards your target audience?

Isn't that the core of the problem though on both sides? News should be the news. Instead everything is slanted news to market to a target audience. In the end, nobody knows what the real truth is.

Of course, but we both know that any sort of regulation of news orgs will be met with "censorship" or "freedom of speech".

"The government will have to become, in the hands of conservatives, an instrument of renewal in American life — and in some cases, a blunt instrument indeed."

“To stop the disintegration of the family might require reversing the travesty of no-fault divorce.”

I've read this and reread it a few times now. I'm at a loss.

But you were responding to someone commenting on a post about the early Georgia voter turnout.

To the second bolded, yes. The MLB admitted their reasons.

The MLB “fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes Georgia’s restrictions to the ballot box”

The All-Star game was going to make as much as much money in Atlanta than Colorado. It was a win-win for the MLB. They win the day in their politics and they still make their $$$.

Sixstar posted in the COVID thread, but worth sharing here.
I didn't forget, and I hope you all don't forget either.

Regardless of how you feel about January 6th, at a minimum, this guy is a traitor to the Republican party. He helped sabotage Perdue and Loeffler after he had LOST his election by making the GA runoffs all about himself, embracing Lin Wood and Sidney Powell, and parading them around GA. They told GOP voters to boycott the runoff. That, coupled with his behavior which angered Independents and mobilized Democratic voters who otherwise would've been complacent since Biden had WON, handed 2 seats over to the Democrats who had no business winning. Now, he's essentially saying it'd be better if a Democrat won the Colorado Senate election because the Republican candidate doesn't kiss his ass and has the audacity to prefer a different Republican candidate in 2024. He also made it his mission to ruin the political careers of Doug Ducey and Pat Toomey and has essentially made them unelectable because they didn't embrace his conspiracy theories about dominion machines switching votes. Ducey was planning on running against Mark Kelly and would almost certainly be ahead, and Toomey would easily defeat Fetterman, who could very well be brain-dead right now. Wonderful job, jackass.

Trump slams ‘stupid’ GOP Colorado Senate candidate after 2024 remarks

MAGA doesn’t Vote for stupid people with big mouths. Good luck Joe!” he added.

I was referring to 2016. Never again do I want Trump leading the 2024 ticket.

I still think Hogan is gonna put his name in the hat. He has been visiting to many places here lately.

He isn’t terrible. I love the way he always calls out Baltimore for their failed democratic policies.

Posted this in the Trump thread as well. Backs up my thought that Trump isn't nearly as popular now that some believe he is.

But a Washington Post-ABC poll from last month indicates that a Biden-Trump rematch wouldn’t be the preferred slate for many Americans: 56 percent of respondents leaning toward the Democratic Party said they’d prefer a nomination for “someone other than Biden,” while 47 percent of those leaning Republican said they’d want Trump — down from 67 percent in October 2019.

Problem is, Trump’s 47 percent support is still plenty high enough for him to win the nomination if there is a crowded primary field.

True. I don't think it will be crowded for long. Repubs will see this as an opportunity to regain the WH and will work behind the scenes to narrow it quickly so there will be one strong candidate to go against Trump.

If DeSantis runs, then Hogan and all other Republicans need to do the smart thing and immediately withdraw from the race and endorse DeSantis. He's the only candidate with a chance of beating Trump. No more of splitting states 3 ways like what happened in 2016 between Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich.

What is the appeal with DeSantis? He perpetually has this look on his face as though he's a man who woke up this morning and realized around noon that he has arms.

He's much smarter and far more articulate than Trump and has nowhere near the personal baggage. He's also a vastly superior debater. Basically, he doesn't alienate suburban voters who historically vote Republican who didn't vote for Trump in 2016 and 2020 but voted Republican down the ballot.
