This is so stupid. This stunt is just another Republican created crisis. Its the same thing every time. Every time Republicans need to drown out some bad news they go on every channel and airwave saying how the border is open and Biden is letting everyone in. Then a bunch of migrants here that the border is open and they are letting people in, so they decide to go. The creativity comes in the next part where they have to figure out what will draw the most disproportionate number of cameras. Is it a caravan of a few hundred that news stations will cover their every step? A river crossing or an encampment under a bridge? Soldiers or vigilante groups?

The really messed up thing is that they don't actually want to solve anything. There have been no real proposals because they don't want a solution. Its basically the perfect political stunt that they can repeat multiple times per election cycle. It fits right in perfectly with their platform of fear and scare tactics. And no matter how dehumanizing it is, they won't lose voters because the target group don't vote (though they will tell you they do to add more fear) and they don't look like their voters so their voters will use all sorts of cognitive dissonance to say why its actually perfectly fine or actually someone else's fault.
I agree that it's been used as a fear tactic, but we are allowing a record 8,000 immigrants cross a day. It's definitely a problem that needs addressed, whether it's deportation, naturalization, encouraging other Latin American countries to take in refugees, or probably some combination of all three. According to cbp.gov we're looking at 4x the number of encounters for 2022 than we saw in 2020 and twice the numbers we saw pre-pandemic. Republicans didn't create this crisis. GOP tried to stem the tide and Biden the candidate encouraged them to come. Now they've been trying to reverse course by resuming Trump's wall and telling migrants not to come.

If taking pressure off your state by sharing with sanctuary cities helps and raises awareness with those who are failing to take action, it’s necessary, not stupid.

If people are talking about busses of immigrants showing up in Dem hubs across the country, we’re talking about immigration. An issue that has been a clear FAIL from the Biden team. So, keep em going.

Interesting Bidens pause seems mainly to allow for the assessment and remediation of all the environmental damage caused by Trump which is thoroughly detailed in this article. I’m sure there are some contractual obligations that had to be adhered to as well

Dems aren’t serious about the border. Never have been. It’s not Trumps fault.

Luring these people is criminal and unethical and does nothing but make their life harder.

I am outraged that people from the state of Florida would create a helpful brochure including the items that are explicitly stated on the State of Massachusetts website. I mean how evil can you be.

Here is the link to the two webpages right off the State's own website stating the very same things listed in the brochure.

It’s a fake because Massachusetts didn’t produce this. This isn’t an official Massachusetts document that they were given. But yeah shipping people all the way across the country for politics is ok. We get it. Y’all are totally cool with using actual human beings to make a political point.

I said the people from Florida produced the Brochure by taking stuff straight off the Massachusetts website. Word for word. I guess that makes them bad.

Dem's encouraged people to surge to the border. Why? You guessed it, to score political points. Joe Biden's encouragement resulted in hundreds of dead migrants. But I guess that's just collateral damage for the Dem's.

The RCA program looks to be legit. I didn't read the entire 37 page document, but it does outline assistance.

As of August 1, 2016, time eligibility for Refugee Cash Assistance and Refugee Medical Assistance begins on the Date of Entry, and expires at the end of the refugee’s eighth month in the U.S.

LOL, picturing ulukinatme looking through all the sections and subsections, paragraphs and subparagraphs for 37 stinking pages.

I request a legal summary of your reading.
I made it through about page 10 and said "Fuck this shit, I've got better things to do tonight." I found what I was looking for, but by then it was too late ha.

I absolutely hate having to read through legal documents. I just had to read through 100+ pages for our family trust earlier this evening. The first 5 pages or so of these legal docs are always the worst. They have to outline what their definition is for every reference they plan on using in the remaining parts of the doc. I should just skip the opening and come back if there are any questions on the terms later, and yet every time I fall into the trap.

He thinks itineraries and lists of benefits have to be official state documents or they're fake and dont exist🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣

Good grief, Cack. You're acting like a child throwing a temper tantrum because of 48 brown people being sent to MV by their own choice.

Hey, maybe this sheriff can get with Biden and the UN and bring DeSantis before an international tribunal because the pamphlets weren't official Massechusetts documents 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣

Clearly valid information for those seeking opportunity In Massachusetts.

We’ve had record breaking border traffic this year because Biden’s borders are open. Where do you expect all of these people to go?
The people crossing the border are actual human beings and they have to go somewhere. Sanctuary cities that embrace the Biden border policies are a great place of opportunity for them.

Hard pass on the idea that it’s the GOP that doesn’t care about people when the Dems in charge can’t control the border and flow of fentanyl, criminals, and other wonderful things pouring into our country.

Interesting that the right has spent decades fighting to allow markets and private equity to run wild, promulgating the stupid idea that “spending money = speech!”, undermining unions, offshoring manufacturing and generally going all in on the Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged party train. Now that we are living in a society that is a byproduct of all that nonsense it’s all about the evils of “big tech”, immigrants and drag queens and they want to over correct by getting on the Benito Mussolini/Pat Buchanan party train.

Yeah, big tech colluding with democrats and suppressing the voice of ideologies not commonly represented in Silicon Valley is weird. Entities have been too big before and had to be broken up. This isn’t a brand new idea and nobody advocated for one party control over the common means of communication.

Record setting border traffic is something we should embrace and surely would have been popular ten, twenty or thirty years ago. Sure, we added as many people as Kansas without consideration or planning, but weird how some people don’t like that. 26 Governors requested a meeting with Biden to explain the significant problem at the border. He ignored them. These governors are serving the interest of their people and making our inept President look at the mess he created.

Public education is not a platform for social change. If the Dems didn’t learn from Virginia, keep going down this rabbit hole.

You do realize that this problem became pretty big under Obama. When Trump put his plan in motion to stem the tide, he was criticized for putting the illegals in the same detention centers Obama used. The Dems are happy to assist as long as they remain in Texas, AZ, Cali, etc. Bring them north and they show their true colors.

In this house, we believe nobody is illegal, and we're fine with a humanitarian crisis 2000 miles away.

Bring them to my fancy rich island? GTFO- We need a go fund me and fast deportation.

First of all, human trafficking is the wrong term. They're using it to - wait for it... wait for it - stir up emotions without the slightest regard to accuracy. Second, when coyotes were (and still are) engaged in actual human trafficking, often involving children, the Left is totally deaf, dumb and blind. Open border with coyotes running children and women in for prostitution or demanding sex in exchange for bring them over? No problem, nothing to see here. Move a few dozen of them to a hotspot of liberal support for allowing that? OMG!!!! It's human trafficking and the worst thing ever!

Bishop, it wasn't human trafficking when migrants were forced onto airplanes in the middle of the night and flown all over the country in 2021. It was different.

Importing tens of millions of immigrants (some legal, many illegally) to the US for political purposes has been the Democrats' border policy for decades. You seem like a smart enough guy, just not sure how or why you have this huge and obvious blind spot here when it comes to two parties doing similar things but you only take issue with one.

What other country is providing the additional ~8M to make it tens of millions?

Also what political benefits are the Democrats getting from illegal immigration? New Mexico turning blue in the 90's after 8 years of Reagan prior? Arizona going blue in two elections since 1952? Texas/Cali any difference there?

Legal immigration, shouldn't these taxpayers be allowed to vote? Presuming that they follow whatever voter ID policies?

It’s undeniable that we are at record traffic across the border. The Biden team clearly has no interest in addressing the problem.

Why?

I think it goes back to the 2012 political assumption that less white and more identity politics is good for Democrats. If they can play the division card, it’s good. I also believe Democrats assume black and brown voters are theres. Like a reliable breakfast taco in the “LatinX” category.

I also think they know that TX and AZ are prime targets to go blue. I think this is part of the political calculus in choosing to ignore the crisis.

So is there numbers to support this illegal immigration is good for Dems? How do you come to this conclusion (emotion aside)?

There has to be some figure or number that you're seeing about this that supports that theory? If illegal immigrants aren't able to vote then how is this a plus for Democrats?
