I may be in the minority here but, although the person I voted for didn't win, I'm not really upset about it.

I've never hung my hat on a certain persons a$$ sitting in the oval office. I refuse to hang my hopes on someone I don't even know.

Happiness is something you create, not someone you vote for.

Although I agree with most of your post, their decisions do directly affect our lives and that is why I am concerned. CALI has not been in great shape for a while and I only hope this changes soon.

Not that I agree with yankeehater's attitude and approach, but some of you need to check yourself if you think a ticket that includes Rubio in some fashion wouldn't sway enough of the Hispanic vote to make a difference.

This election was won on the backs of blacks, Hispanics and women.

That is patently false.

Yes, it will a little but those groups have voted so heavily Democratic that I do not know if it would move the needle enough to make a difference. The Dems will still go to their usual cards to scare their base away from them.

Big Lou, very cool of you to be in here right now. Props man. Don't know that I'd be capable of it.

Bullsh!t, this race was LOST on the backs of a right wing agenda that continues to move further from MAINSTREAM America (which is still predominantly white) and closer to some of the religious fanaticism we see in other parts of the world. The Republican primaries make it almost impossible to pivot back to normalcy.

That pretty much only leaves white men, doesn't it? This election fell short for Romney because they weren't enough to carry him.

They were joking around on TV this morning saying Romney was still out looking for angry white men to vote for him.

Great news! Allen West lost! One less certifiably insane person in the House.

I get attacked for my comment that I stole from CNN about woman, but liberals don't get called out for calling a military veteran who represented our country honorably "certifiably insane."

Big Lou is great. Made crazy props to him. He can be my wingman anytime (which really means he can drink with me anytime).

American national elections hang on the edge of a knife. This is still a 48/48 country. Romney ran a poor campaign outside of the first debate. A better candidate with a more polished and complete campaign would have wiped the floor with Obama.

Nice chart. Silver does some excellent statistical analysis but he doesn't decide who wins the election. Those numbers are a reflection of how the American public ebbed and flowed throughout the campaign. If Romney's campaign had ran effectively after picking up momentum after the first debate, he would have stood a fabulous chance of winning. Instead, Romney's campaign fell flat on its face and his candidacy followed suit on election night.

You ever make it down this way, let me know. The beer and whisky will flow.

Sounds delicious!!!

Thanks! I'm not mad like a lot of Romney supporters; just bummed. Romney wasn't my guy til he was, ya know? I'd have loved to see Ron Paul or Gary Johnson but when it came down to it I just really wanted Obama out. Let's hope he can make some serious changes and get this country to where it needs to be. I'm not against Obama's success... just skeptical of it.
