Trans serve in the military right now. May want to rethink this post and or Delete it.
That's a relatively new social experiment for the military. We had gay servicemembers for a long time before DADT was removed, and it was no big deal. Trans in military conditions is a challenging dynamic.

Got a source on a armed service assessment that claims this is any more challenging than gay or blacks or even women serving?

It was a big deal though. Those gay service members were discharged unless they lived closeted lives.

Wasn’t my experience. Everyone knew who was. The only people I ever saw discharged for it were the ones who wanted to be. Or the straight ones who were willing to go after that discharge.

I don't think they are representative of many conservatives, but many conservatives attend and speak at CPACs.
I don’t see a lot of light between representation and speaking there. Being there is support.

Your post assumes I am saying that a trans person cannot find a way to benefit society just because they are trans. That is not my argument. We are all flawed people and just because we have a flaw does not invalidate everything we do. We can still be productive in many aspects of life and still be flawed in others. Any criminal or deviant can find a way to benefit society somewhere.

Being trans in a vacuum has no societal benefit at all. Its actually counterproductive and weakens a society. It blurs gender roles when you blur gender. When you preach that a man can be a woman and woman be a man it makes people question what they are and what their purpose is in society. Society benefits a great deal from what the left would partly define as toxic masculinity. Men cannot be strong men anymore because the way they taught what gender is. We live in a world where “do what make you happy” is applauded no matter how destructive and counterproductive it is.

Guess it depends on your definition of strength. Seeing a certain section of society being scared of very small population who just wants to belong and live a normal life - that does not give off the appearance of strength. Nobody thinks back to the school bully in reference to those that are "strong". Picking on long hanging fruit (pun not intended lol) does not make someone "strong".
I’m not really understanding what you are saying. Who is “scared” of trans people? Just because you disagree with something you assume the reason is fear based? That’s leftist logic. I do think about the impacts our “progressive” norms have on our society. As our society “evolves” the dumber and more violent our society becomes. We are moving further left but yet disregard societal issues created by progressive norms being pushed. We live in a generation of confused young men that lack purpose and yet we blame the gun when a confused suicidal young man shoots up a school. We break down “social constructs” and then blame the other side when society falters.

“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

Guess what phase we are in?

Being anything “in a vacuum” has no societal benefit. This post makes no sense to me. Maybe you should rethink what “strong” means to you. Ronda Rousey could kick the crap out of anyone on this board. Is she blurring the gender lines and contributing to the downfall of society?

J Edgar Hoover was among the most powerful men in American history and liked to dress in pretty things after work. Did the society crumble? It’s almost like “transgender” is a new term for a reality that’s been around your whole life. It was better for you when they had to hide in the shadows instead of just being who they are. It seems like the problem is not with them but in your unwillingness to acknowledge the world is a little more complex than you want it to be.

Tissues are on sale at WalMart this week, sissy. 😁

I disagree with you 100%. The beautiful thing is that it’s completely okay to disagree and I won’t call you a name like you did me.

Why do I need to rethink what “strong” means? Can you tell me my definition of “strong” since you assume I need to change my definition of the word? Rhonda Rousey was and probably is still a great athlete. I am sure there are women that can beat me in basketball as well. What’s your point? I never said women cannot or should not be strong.

Ugly parts of society should be hidden. People watch porn and masturbate… it’s fairly normal. Because it’s normal do we not keep it hidden?

I'm saying that those who choose to pick on a group of people who are different and just want to belong are not strong, by any means. Whether it's being scared, ignorant, or hateful - those are not traits of a "strong man".

Society has been getting progressively less violent throughout history. There is a reason the most progressive places in the world have the least amount of violence and the highest standard of living.

The blame falls on the gun because you see other countries that have similar societal pressures and have exponentially less gun violence. The tradeoff for owning a gun is having higher gun related crimes, there is no "both" option.

These constructs have been relevant for 1000's of years and there is documented historical precedence for people being non-binary. This isn't new. The uproar that is being seen now is reflexively towards the acceptance that these people are finally receiving in the mainstream. Similar to how many of the confederate statues were added during the Jim Crow era or the 60's. The outrage is done to remind those there is still prejudice out there and that those groups should know they are still considered inequal members of society.

If people truly cared about "mental health" or "children" they would address the material issues that go unaddressed.

The “sissy” was a joke the first time, sissy.
😂

Here’s what you seemed to imply in your post …

A man can be strong … (and Rousey proves) a woman can be strong … but somehow a transgender person cannot? That just seems illogical.

If ugly parts of society should be hidden, you might want to stop posting. You are comparing a person’s identity, their humanity to masturbating. Gross. You are calling who they are the “ugly parts” of society. Who the hell are you to define the ugly parts? I’d rather my children be taught by a transgender than a bigot.

Its fascinating you cannot have a convo without name calling. What makes a me a bigot? I would go to war with a transgender. I would have a meal with one. I would have a conversion with one. I would be friends with one. I have many friends and colleagues that fall under one of the alphabetically defined groups. I get that you guys HATE everyone you disagree with. But that’s not me. I have opinions and that’s about where it starts and ends. I am friends with people that hate Christianity. I apologize (I really don’t) that my opinion does not fit in your worldview of how someone should think. You are being the hypocrite here. We disagree therefore you call me names. I’m not hurt or offended. I am just pointing it out because you are acting on this difference we have. We have a difference, therefore you call me names. Who is the bigot?

Our “difference” is that you view other human beings as ugly things that should be hidden from society. I believe that all people have the inalienable rights spelled out in our Constitution, even those who are transgender. And you, apparently, view these people as a blemish not good enough to be seen by polite society. It is my position that your remarks about transgender people are repugnant. Sorry if that offends your sensibilities.

So you would go to war AND have a meal with a trans person. Great. Would you tell that same trans person that you think they should be eradicated, ya know, for the children and the good of society?

You think it’s alright to have bigoted opinions without being called out on them and it’s just not. You seem to be totally lacking in self-awareness. I can’t imagine being a social worker and working with populations that you seemingly despise. I’d love to audit your cases over the years, just to see how many people/families that you denied services to or failed to help because “opinions.”
