That’s really interesting and wild. I literally got a bunch of people posting the word. Most American accounts some Russian some other languages but mostly account from the USA with hundred of followers. A literal list of hundreds of individual posters posting it with lots of likes and retweet’s sooooo.

From my article above
al on Twitter, there was a 1,300% increase in the word appearing on the platform in various languages, including Spanish, Arabic and Portuguese. At its peak, the word appeared 170 times every five minutes, according to the data.

That seems to contradict what your tweet said.

As of 15 minutes ago I saw hundreds of indivials posting that word in some form or fashion.

I know that it is hard to believe that left-wing types would say or do hateful things to throw out a perception that people they fear are also aligned with those hateful things. Honestly, this was pretty predictable. The idea that all of the sudden that would happen under Elon like a bunch of dudes were just sitting there saying hold me back from typing this until Elon takes over is rather nuts. I would just do like these paid VA dem staffers did and take the L.

I think the guy from Twitter is probably better tuned into what's happening considering they have all of the data and see all accounts.
I dont know when that was posted or what data set I was looking at. I did post an article with data from people who also monitor trends and posts that you can read above. They have a different conclusion. I'd also expect the "guy" from twitter to have a vested interest in the information he puts out.

The "guy" from Twitter is what you would expect from a guy from Twitter. Someone who was likely, like you, looking to confirm this. However, it wasn't true. Again, most of these tweeter employees live deep in MAGA country with Castro supporting nudists. We should probably just accept that this whole uptick in hate didn't happen...

IIRC you were the one that got upset because someone thought you were another poster reincarnated and filed a complaint. That's even less offensive than being called a fascist commie.
I'm sure a mod could confirm that wasn't the case. I brought it up when it was happening and had a laugh at that poster for thinking that. I remember Abc was upset I kept bringing it up and instigating with that poster. That's how it went down, but thanks for checking.

How do you know why those people have put him on ignore? Because I can only remember the instance of a poster going on the website issues thread to complain about how they weren't able to ignore a mod.

Literally everyone in this thread is "petty, childish, obsessive, biased, and all too often ignorant, misinformed, and willfully dishonest and hypocritical ranting" no one in here is better than the other for any of this. I mean look at how often #1 will respond to my comments with 1 line zingers. It's just his MO. If we're really going to go balls deep on "hypocritical" Drayer is in here daily posting polls, when we ALL remember that trope that "polls don't matter omegalulzzzz" was spread in 2020 so you can save the "cack is a hypocrite" line. If you are going to be the purity assigner then please check yourself and others that you agree with. No one in here is above the fray.

Drayer literally said "it wasn't the whites struggling with the swim test" and regularly makes posts like this, if anyone to left of David Duke was sensitive we would have put him on ignore. However, it's the oh so virtuous and honorable Right that is putting people on ignore. Just stop man, we are pigs rolling around in shit.
Drayer was merely backing up what the Latina wife of a Democratic Senate nominee said with an anecdotal joke.

USA Swimming says about 2/3 of black kids have little or no swimming ability. The same can be said about 4/10 white kids. Something like 1% of year round swimmers are black. Idk if they mean kids who compete or kids who utilize pools or whatever. I'm guessing urban areas don't have many pools, indoor or outdoor.

Anyway, I think you can make a joke about these things without being compared to David Duke. Context/ intent matters.

Swim quals in boot camp were eye-opening to me. The white guys all hopped in and passed the first day. The black guys struggled like hell. Why? Most of them didn't swim growing up. One of my friends I went from boot to ship with was black and always said swim quals were his worst day. I made fun of him for it a lot. Anyways, I guess that observation, which was said in reply to a comment about agreeing with a liberal woman saying swimming is racist, makes me worse than Hitler, which is worse than Trump, and worse than whoever the next GOP candidate is because Jan 6 and underwear hippie nudists assaulting our beloved democracy!

Just for clarity to Cack- most of these tweets are not white guys and pre-Elon. They show my observation was not isolated...

So Bolsanro lost. Let’s see how well he handles it.
Was in Brazil for a wedding last fall. Friend is a doctor there. Talked election stuff with him and his friends just to learn a bit about how things work there.

Most of his group were gonna vote for the guy who won. Said down there, you basically vote on who you want to benefit from corruption. A couple of them liked Bolsonaro but had concerns about him restoring a junta.

Talked to him again last night, said his analysis was that things will not change very drastically. Bolsonaro's party apparently had a good night. I will read some Glenn Greenwald today to get a better English language analysis. My friend speaks excellent conversational English, but there are still some language barriers. Maybe he meant he was disappointed Bolsonaro got close up 50%. I have no clue.

Just need to have it without that knife in your hand ;)

(If we ever fought at the Y I have no doubt your old man strength would wipe the floor with a CPA bozo)
By my observations, CPA's, CA's and CBV's are like bears... work hard for 6-8 months and then hibernate for the rest! LOL!!

Cheers and Go Irish!!

It's just a fucking fact. However it is probably more of an economic indicator than anything. Poorer you are the less likely you know how to swim. It's not like people are saying they can't learn to swim, they just never learned. My kids do year round swim - hard to pick out of the lineup. Jealous of anyone with any melanin as they are easy to pick out of the crowd. Otherwise they all look the same in goggles and swim caps.

ND use to have the swim requirement and dropped it probably around the time they covered up the Columbus murals. Horrible disservice to the student body IMO.

Facts aren't racist, people who label them as such usually are though.

Not a good look. Free speech be damned.
To be fair, the government tried to create a disinformation board with the Mary Poppins lady to help us understand the government's guidance on what is true and what is not true.

They aren't suppressed, their message literally gets spread at a higher rate as I posted earlier. I'm not sure why you continue down this road.

So Twitter drinks their own bathwater saying that they don't suppress right wing voices. Toronto, as a CPA, has no issue with this, even though it's akin to the IRS asking someone if they cheated on their taxes, and that person saying, "No bros, I promise - I even paid you more than I was supposed to."

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here trying to reconcile anomalous events like this:

Some moral (if not legal) problems with the government "working with" business to quiet dissenting voices in a manner the government can't.

Thrilled, they arrested the Pelosi attacker. I, like many, want to see a thorough and public investigation into what happened. We need to go into great detail to understand this.

MAGA Country is down a dedicated hippie nudist immigrant today.

As a CPA, the onus is on the government to prove what my client has filed incorrectly. In this case, you are the government and you have brought 1) Your feelings 2) A follower summary from Ted Cruz.

So, as a CPA, if the government sent my client a letter saying "Bro you totally owe us more, I just feel like you do and you see this other guy saw a swing in his tax liabilities....so yeah pay us more" I would tell the government to send me their audit results so I can defend my clients position.

Pretty sure this is the same website my fellow Canadian used...if the conspiracy is that Twitter was suppressing him how was able to see such a large increase in May 2022? Which chapter of 1984 would help me understand this grand conspiracy better?

Use that website to view other right-wing Twitter accounts. Look at foxnews, govrondesantis, zubymusic, benshapiro, and not_the_bee for example.

I wonder why their followers all spike the exact same week too... Seems very odd doesn't it. AOC didn't spike. Gavin Newsom didn't spike. CNN didn't spike. Odd.

Yet all these right-wing accounts spiked on the exact same week. Weird. I wonder what could've happened.

Elon submitted the Twitter purchase intent on April 14. Hmmm...

Could it be....that....accounts were made knowing that the compliance departments would get overturned and the TOS would be more lax allowing for bots to be created and used?

Or are we to believe that all the accounts were just waiting to follow Ted Cruz and felt so emboldened to do so recently. Isn't this a good thing for you though? More people get to enjoy the intellectual musings of renowned conservative intellectuals like Dinesh D'Souza and Ben Shapiro.

don't deflect. don't reach. this fails the audit.

why would they all be created in one week? why wouldn't you see a sustained trickle effect of new accounts and follows?

No, this was an adjustment. A one-time adjustment - and now we are seeing a second adjustment, with an identical pattern to the first - right-wing only. So now ask yourself: why?

Relax, bud. I'm trying to understand what exactly you're proclaiming there to be there. What are you saying happened? Are these unique users that are finding their way to these beacons of intelligence or?

This is literally what I'm getting in response....calm down breath and tell us what exactly you feel Twitter was doing.

Using this website to check if a persons followers are bots or not tends to return results that show Conservatives you listed above have a higher percentage of bots than the Democrats you mentioned. Newsome is the only one that is in a similar range. Seems like on average a GOP affiliated person will have 3-4% higher share of bots.
