Is there any evidence they actually practice this? I realize that's a concern in itself, but if they don't practice it, I don't have a whole lot of interest in seeing them try it in live game action.
They did at the end of todays game. Great to get it on film for defenses to have to waste reps of practice

I missed the second half of the game.

What is this Narduzzi disrespect that is being talked about?

Game was all but finished, ND Way ahead. Nard called a timeout with seconds left, then ran another play which resulted in a meaningless touchdown.

Have some class dude. Take a knee and accept the loss.

I’m just a fan sitting on a couch so would love an expert’s take. I know MF will chalk up the goal line failures to lack of execution. But that failed goal line play today looked like a poorly designed play that required absolute perfection...with a perfect touch pass no less. It failed miserably & looked to never have a chance. I realize the other team plays kids on scholarship as well & PItt has a solid defense but that particular play call looked like Denbrock wanted his offense playing w/ one hand tied behind its back. The analyst, Jesse Palmer; said he agreed w/ going for it but questioned the play call.

Posting all the above does NOT mean I hate Denbrock or want him fired. I don’t & am happy he’s the OC. Just curious about that play design b/c it seems there were plenty of other options that gave ND a higher %age of having success.

It was a rub play that didn't get a rub which forced the perfect pass. It should've been open, but I agree on it being a poor choice.

This game should've been a more blowout. Nd missed 3 picks that could've been pick 6's. Young missed an easy one. Would've been a walking to. The batted ball by in the end zone. If you saw that a player was right there to pick it off. I forgot the last one. But overall. Outside of some mishaps. This game could've been a blowout. Pitt did what they needed to. And I give them props. They came in. Fought hard. Love CJ's poise. Loves a f'n beast. Online was good. D played solid. Some missed opportunities. But I love this squad.

Ah. One could say it’s the old adage of playing until the final whistle goes.

Similar to Virginia last year when they took a timeout at the end of the game despite being down by what, 30 points?

Real Talk:

The defense was outstanding today OUTSIDE of making tackles on the Pitt QB. We brought pressure and got home, the DBs were phenomenal. Ash has his unit playing at as high a level, if not a higher level, than Golden. Which NONE of us thought possible.
I said some pretty mean things about Ash, and it’s been awesome to see him get this defense playing at such a level. Love being wrong when it comes to ND. Also, and might be a case of winning heals all, but I think I get Ash’s demeanor now. He’s a pretty calm, tactician kind of guy. Glad he’s on our side. Thanks Coach!

- I thought Ash did a good job mixing man and zone as well as who was the spy to confuse the QB. They baited him into the Tae pick six and he was in a blender for the rest of the game.

- Basically the only real offense they had was throws to the RB. Can’t even name a WR on that team after watching a whole game. Bowen and 1 - 2 other LBs missed some tackles but thankfully not a killer mistake. The one big gain was OPI. Still not sure why situations like blitzing Ausberry to have Bowen play man exist.

- Talich seems to always be in the right place. They should play Dime over Nickel more often in obvious pass.

- Carr overall wasn’t good. C+ type performance. Said it weeks ago and it still continues, he (and Denbrock) have not enough easy answers to man coverage. He hit some shots but twice was only when he knew a bad throw wouldn’t burn him because off offsides. The pass game needs to be more successful down to down. He doesn’t look comfortable at all throwing short crossers. Both INTs were just bad. Some of the good was pivoting to Raridon in those situations and a few dump offs to Love.

- Denbrock: Ugh. Try not to throw a short rollout or TE flat challenge. Way too predictable against a well coached Pitt defense with two weeks to prepare. They trust James Flanigan apparently enough to have him spring the Love TD, so why the fuck can’t we just go 13 personnel goal line. Pauling is also not a good answer on short screens. He doesn’t have enough wiggle. It’s every single week watching him get 0 - 2 yards on a screen.

He's turned in clunkers in the two toughest games of the post-A&M slate. Despite that, ND is good enough to still win those games by double digits.

Hopefully they can find some answers and figure it out. If they do, I think ND can make another deep run in the playoffs.

Objectively the INT that didn’t go for 6 was a worse throw than the one that did. Biles made a freak play on that inside screen pass.

It's weird that we can play like shit with tons of self-destructive plays and comfortably beat a Top 25 team in the road. It is crazy how far this team has come since a few years ago.

Yeah this has been my takeaway a few times this year. Even last year we won by playing clean and waiting for teams to self destruct on offense. This year we are just out talent-ing everyone.
