Wow, really feels like we had a long overdue exorcism of some demons with that win!!
2000 overtime vs #1 Nebraska
2005 Bush push
1996 vs FSU & Warrick Dunn
2011 Gary Gray vs Michigan and a ton more...
Always felt like fate was against ND in these close big stage games. Such a once in a generation win! What a special night! Finally feels like fate was with us after 30 years. Here to one more☘️🏆🍹🍊🍻
Golson game vs FSU with the "phantom" PI

32 years old so I don’t remember the ‘93 FSU game…last week against GA was the best win of my life

Tonight was the toughest, refuse to die, performance I’ve ever seen. Unbelievable atmosphere and to witness that in person was truly incredible. Dead at halftime to resurrect and do whatever it took.

I have no voice and I can’t sleep. What a fucking team man. They just never give in.

Went to bed at 1:00 even though I couldn't sleep. Not sure what time I fell asleep, but the pooch woke me up at 6:15 and I couldn't go back to sleep thinking about this game, so here I am. My worthless thoughts:

1. This team has grit, resiliency and the heart of a champion.
2. For you naysayers, please don't crap on Angeli anymore. He was as cool as Montana on that drive.
3. First time I can ever remember thinking the game was over in the first half.
4. Opening the second half with a TD was huge. It just confirmed to the team they weren't done.
5. Glad to see Denbrock open the playbook up in the second.
6. The over pursuit was a killer for the defense most of the night.
7. Hats off to the O-line for coming through.
8. Holy crap Williams. You don't see many RB's make a catch like that downfield.
9. Love on his TD. That's a grown man effort busting up three defenders.
10. I love Marcus Freeman.
11. Tip of the hat to PSU and Franklin. They had an outstanding game plan and are better than we thought.
12. I don't care who we play.

Game ball to Angeli. He saved the season!

I don’t know if Angeli will ever be the starting QB at Notre Dame over the course of a full season…but he etched his legacy last night.
The fact that our backup stayed through the playoff even though he will likely never be the starter, and PSU’s left should not be lost on the importance of this victory.
There is no doubt PSU would have loved to use Beau last night with Allar struggling throughout

That is a winning CULTURE right there, and sacrificing your own personal glory for the betterment of the program you represent!

Love these men and the coaches that led them!

For me,

2003 Fiesta Bowl
2006 Rose Bowl
2008(?) TTU v. UT-Austin (Crabtree beast mode to end the game)
2010 Iron Bowl (sCam Newton 24 point deficit)
2013( or whenever kick six) Iron Bowl
Tonight.

All awesome and memorable.
This is right there with the '73 Sugar Bowl with Ara having the balls to call that pass to Weber a backup TE who only had one catch all season. That sealed the win against Bear Bryant and Bama.
