Respond away!
Long time no hear from you my friend! This forum loses without you.
No more choices of responses. I already passed that gas.

Make sure December is wearing a condom when it comes. We wouldn't want the cold weather to spread too far.Haven't been home much lately. But I should be on a lot more once December comes. In kokomo tonight and going to watch the Irish play tommorrow.
I would LOVE to see the option back at Notre Dame. With Paul Johnson as our coach it would be deadly. Gonna happen? NOPE. But it would be sweet.
No team that runs the option will ever compete for a National Title.
You should wake up every morning and thank God Almighty that we dropped the option.
No anger. No irrationality. No identity crisis. MOTHER FUCKIN RAGE
I charge for my service, but I ask in advance that you spread and pre-K-Y your butt cheeks. Warm up that sphincter - it's gonna get a workout.
Bring it on pansy. (You may want to let go of the grip you have on your overgrown clit before you do. -Just trying to give you a head start. Because I care.)
teehee
How totally embarrassing for you. Are you a Notre Dame grad? ... ummm.... guessing not. Notre Dame community, are you proud of this descriptive of homosexual rape from one of your own? It certainly sounds like he has had this thought on his mind for quite a while.
I just wanted to spend one week in the ND community while I had a week off coaching. It was about what I thought. A lot of level headed frustrated fans, a few that have little sense of the state of the program... and a sample of psycho-sexual, hyper retentive behavior that seriously should trouble others in this community. Gonna go ahead and leave you to yourselves now... My predictions and thoughts on the program are spoken, feel no need to respond to this, I will be too busy to read anything, and "trolling" or whatever web jargon this is... is not on par with threatening prison rape from an apparent pro, i am betting most of your posts make bizarre allusions to sex... the internet is a deep dark trap, kid... but you should go ahead and grow up now. But dude, ... what exactly do the voices in your head tell you to do?

Poke you in the butt. Goodbye.
Yep. Especially teams like ND '88 and other teams like Nebraska and Oklahoma and Texas that ran option and won it all. And all teams (seems like most of 'em) that use run option as a really offensive ploy.
Doesn't anyone learn from Navy's inept offense?
In this case, the word "option" is deceptive. An "option" offense done well is a very disciplined offense that allows a well practiced Oline to attack and backs to create and charge.
That's a dangerous thing to a defense.
If it worked and was the right way to go, it would be used in the NFL. The only reason it works for Johnson is that no one else sees it.
Once again...HORRIBLE comparison. CW is in his 4th year, PJ is in his first. And you want to compare what CW is doing in his 4th what PJ is doing in his 1st??? How about comparing what CW did in his first? We all know what CW did. He took a bad team to a BCS BOWL. He almost beat the number team in the nation, with one of the top offenses of all-time, if not for an illegal play (we were singing his praises then, weren't we?). PJ has taken over a decent-to-bad team as well, has 3 losses already in a bad conference, lost to unranked Virginia and VTech, got hammered by NC, and BARELY beaten Gardner-Webb (they have a team???). Soooo, that's better than what CW did his first year?
See how easy it is to disparage someone. Call me in PJ's 4th year if you want to compare him to CW.
Now, the truth is that PJ has done an OUTSTANDING job this year. Better than CW first year. Nope.

The Option withered on the vine as soon as Defenses became more disciplined and faster. The Nebraska-Miami game pretty much showed what happens when you have a well-disciplined Defense play the BEST option attack in the nation.
It's a gimmick and nothing more. It also has a high probability of putting your QB in the hospital.
Just remember that all the coaches out there are looking for an advantage. They are looking to play a style of offense that will win them the National Title. And none of the contenders use it anymore.
I guess Florida's option offense that scored 70 lil pointsys today doesn't count, because it wouldn't work in the NFL. Dude, my extremely rough estimate is that most college teams run some form of option offense. It's all the same stuff, just different formations. You say toMAYto, I say toMAHto.
Florida does not run the option as their main attack. That is not their system.
Florida does not run the option as their main attack. That is not their system.
Yeah our old Wing T and Florida Spread attack are VERY different... that's like saying the West Coast and any other passing offense are exactly the same becasue they are pass first and run second...
The option as we run it is dead in fact look at the teams that gave up the option LAST they are all struggling to catch back up (us included)
Semantic argument and not worth continuing, and maybe you and LoveMyIrish (me too) don't know enough about football, but I am sure we can agree that CW does not employ a run option offense.
And that Florida's option offense scored 70 lil pointsys tonight.
I think you missed Acamp's point.
There is no team that runs the option as it's primary attack that is very successful. The last one was Nebraska in the 1990's.
Dudes I am no expert. But I think Florida does run a variance of an option. Harvin, Tebow, hell you dont know which way they are gonna go. I may be wrong though, I dont know, I just dont know. Still in shock.
Ok I understand what you are saying. True that Nebraska hired Callahan to install a new offense to replace the option.
Tebow and Clausen are two totally different QBs. Of course Clausen has got that 15 yard drop back roll out thing going on about every passing play now. Is he feeling pressure or what? Tebow just runs at people then pulls up and shot puts a strike.
Firstly, I've enjoyed reading this blog by all of you ND fans. I can hardly stop laughing though at the concept of keeping CW instead of pursuing Paul Johnson. If your institution had any brains you would not walk but RUN to Atlanta and offer him a house and a TON of money to come and win you a national championship - do you all realize that he went to 5 consecutive bowl games AT NAVY after we were 1 and 21 before he got here? He is a football genius - PERIOD - ACC coach of the year this year - National coach of the year in 2005 - and remember he beat you last year with players who were smaller, slower, less athletic (maybe a bit harder working, better coached and dare I say smarter?) but nonetheless should NEVER had won that game. This year I believe that Navy was the better team on the field but we had the wrong personnel in the game until late. Trust me that won't happen again and if CW is the coach next year Navy will probably win in South Bend. PJ's system works - it beat Georgia this year - and Rutgers, Air Force, Wake Forest on the Navy side - his offense at Ga Tech had more plays over 20 yards than ANY school in the country ... get him or continue on the path that CW is taking you ... please
PS - I attended the game last year at South Bend and I have everyother Navy home and away game for 5 years and have to say that the true ND fans are the classiest and nicest in the entire country. Thank you for a great experience.
I truly ask that you don't hire Coach Johnson away from Ga Tech as I'd like to at least have a chance to beat you every 43 years.
Running a gimmick offense is fun when no one else does it...but in the end it won't get you all the way.
they run option PLAYS out of a one and two back set and they run a ton of slot sweep out of motion to the backfield... but it is FAR from the offense we ran or the one Nebraska ran for years where the option WAS the offensive SET... people are saying bring back the option florida wins iwth it... no they don't, they set up in the shotgun four out of five plays, they throw down field and use a ton of motion just as much as they run option plays out of thier spread and other formations... florida runs the shotgun spread for crying out loud... that is NOT the wing T or the wishbone or any other option bashed offense that has been used with success only in the high ranks for 10 plus years... again saying florida wins with the option is like saying ANY team that throws the ball anytime during the game runs the west coast
I agree with the right personel we can win with the shotgun spread (Tebow is a freak of nature and Clausen, Crist and co. are VERY different Quarterbacks) but that would not be winning with our old option
Johnson is a genius, but running the offense he does he can never compete for the National Title. Running a gimmick offense is fun when no one else does it...but in the end it won't get you all the way.
