I can't stand the play-by-play guy, his voice is just so dull. He sounds like a computer.

From the President Elect Nikias in a memo to the USC family:

The Trojan Family honors and respects the USC sporting careers of those persons whose actions did not compromise their athletic program or the opportunities of future USC student-athletes. Accordingly, I have instructed the senior vice president for administration to remove athletic jerseys and murals displayed in recognition of O.J. Mayo and Reggie Bush by mid-August--before the incoming class of students moves on campus--from Heritage Hall, the Galen Center, and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The university will also return Mr. Bush's 2005 Heisman Trophy to the Heisman Trophy Trust in August.

muhahahahahahahahahaha....i love it.

I say they get some of the Brits from the world cup to do it. I love me some dry wit.

Hammond is the one who looks like a clown. They both suck, hearing that Haden is gone is as awesome as getting a 5 star commit!

I work with a USC grad...he is so arrogant....however he is not walking as tall as he once was. Sooner or later "crap" catches up to you..and U$C has stepped in it....

I'm really glad they are returning the Heisman, however I would also like to see the "AP" national championship they won in...what was that...2003? They weren't in the NC and the AP crowned them anyway, which was against the rules set forth for everyone before the season began. I understand it wasn't their doing, and they just happily accepted it (the AP was at fault for enabling it), but it's crap. LSU won the title that year fair and square over OU. They should have both crowns. Just my small rant.

This is really good news. I respected Haden because even though his ties were at USC he tried to show a small amount of class towards Notre Dame. It just never was good for the Irish as his feelings always seeped out. Glad thats over with and the proof that it wasnt any good is the mere fact that southern cal hired the guy as the AD. How in the world can you have a potential AD doing the color on your rivals games. It proves the mess NBC created. Now get rid of the real problem thats left and I may listen to the games on tv instead of turning the sound down and listening to the radio. All I ask is common sense to be used here by NBC and get people who respect Notre Dame with no bias sass. Tony Roberts to the rescue with Ditka or Theisman or Pinkett.

I hope he does well at USC so that we never have to hear his BS again during a broadcast. I think the main reason he left the broadcast booth and is headed west is because he was losing the anti-Notre Dame battle with the South Bend police dept.

Now lets have NBC show some common sense and do the right thing and start over with 2 guys who can give Notre Dame football the spotlight it deserves. If you are going to broadcast the games at least have 2 /3 guys who dont make me turn on the radio to listen to the play by play. Hammond must go. Someone needs to post one of these ideas on a banner at the university or a billboard or something because I repeat these telecasts have morfed into a sham and does not do anything for this fine football program they way they present it. They dont even give enough time to the teams taking the field and the pagentry of the start of the game. I'm damn tired of Hammond, commercials and the same crap before every game. Their story line is always the same Notre Dame mired in a 10 yr slump, Notre Dame trying to right the ship, Notre Dame is not the Notre Dame of your fathers. We understand all this but how about a positve (homer) approach. The nation is not tuning in to see the opponent they are watching because they are Notre Dame fans. How tough can this be?

I respect Pat Haden. I understand that he went to USC, but he is (compared to many at SC) a class individual and is an intelligent person. He is a Rhodes scholar and has been a successful businessman.

That said, I look forward to a change in the NBC broadcasting team. Make that a complete change.

I would like Lindsey Nelson and Paul Hornung, please.

Having a USC guy doing ND games is just wrong. Rhodes scholar or not. He seemed to have to really try to contain his enthusiasm when ND played poorly, which it did for most games under Weis. NBC paying ND millions to air the games and then using such a piss poor crew is beyond stupidity. If they have ANY business sense, this is the time to make a positive change.

Haden may be what SC needs...he is smart...and from what I read i a honest guy. They may have a couple of rough years however I think he will get rid of Kiffy....and build a SC powerhouse the honest way.
