I take partial credit for this. I can't watch the Heat win. It hurts my soul. So when the Mavs went down a dozen I switched the channel.
Awesome.
Also, I tend to be the guy where bad stuff happens when I watch, but if I turn the channel things get better. For what its worth.

^This!I assume, then, that you'll TIVO every game this season and avoid radio and newspaper contact to ensure an undefeated season and a National Championship.
Your sacrifice is appreciated.

I play soccer (stop laughing - great cardio, and 36 and it keeps me in shape!) on Thursday nights, so I told my wife to Tivo the game just in case there was a great game. Well, I get in my car after the game and Miami crowd is pumped, Marion blows a gimme lay-up, and Miami is up 15 w/ 7 minutes left. I'm like FU**!!!! I'm sorry, but like you Rhode, I simply can't stand the Heat. And it has nothing to do with LeBron going there, but it has EVERYTHING to do with the way he went there, and even more, that damn celebration they had the next day.
Anyway, I turned that sh!t off in disgust. But when I got home and my neighbor told my that Dallas was up by 3! I got in and turned it on, and right on cue...Chalmers hits a WIDE-OPEN three. Good job by me! But Dirk stepped up and nailed that driving lay-up, and all was good.
Hey, at the very least, we have a series!
... my jinx only seems to exist in cases of gambling, fantasy baseball and when I'm more rooting against someone than for someone. ND games are therefore safe.
Good thing I left the bar when Wade hit the 3 to go up 15 and didn't miss anything exciting.
