For all the doomsday talk I watched the USC game. Since that seems to be their marquee victory so far USC managed to hang in there for quite awhile inspite of 4 turnovers (including a pick six), a so/so QB, the loss of their best player, bad play calling at times (knew Kiffin was a goner when that halfback pass he called got picked) and aparently an entire roster who were glad to see their coach go immediately following the game.. I would say we "have a chance".

I say Notre Dame comes out with water on their helmets since ASU wants to be all fancy with flames on theirs.

Or have the leprechaun lead the charge onto the field with a fire extinguisher in hand.

Yup, it's corny I know but just think if the ASU cheerleaders wear white, the leprechaun can shoot them with the extinguisher and we all get a free show.

Ugh. I really don't think we're that good, but I still don't feel terribly about our chances this week. We played pretty awfully against Mich and OK and both of those games were 1-score games in the 4th quarter.

We have 0 momentum, but AZ State isn't as good as Mich or Oklahoma IMO.

Obviously this is easier said than done, but if we can avoid a crappy start, I actually like our chances. We need this win and we need the bye week.

Michigan hasn't exactly looked like world beaters since our matchup though. That game involved a lot of spite and motivation on their part, hype, poor game plan from us, and a little backyard football between Gardner and Gallon at times. It's depressing to think how ugly our defense played that game when both Akron and UConn have showed Michigan up in September.
