Surprisingly in a year of a 6-6 season, a coaching staff turnover, and both new offensive and defensive systems ND went toe to toe with OSU for Ohio athletes.

ND
James 4 Star OL opted for ND at the 11th hour leaving OSU in the lurch.
Hendrix 4 Star QB chose ND and OSU took their next choice at QB.
Welch 4 Star TE chose ND early despite an OSU offer.

ND had 2 other OH athletes, Massa and Roback, neither offered by OSU
OSU
Andrew Norwell 4 Star OL chose OSU last Feb.
Christian Bryant is a higher ranked DB, 4 star, than ND signed.
Darry Baldwin is only a 3 Star but is a DE listed with a 4.69 40.

As expected OSU signed mostly OH talent but ND didn't offer any of their other OH signees. LB Scott McVey from St Ignatius might seem like a loss for ND (Catholic school kid) except ND didn't offer. I don't think Diaco would trade any of his new LBs (4 Star Moore and 4 Star Shembo and 4 Star ATH likely LB Spond) for McVey, the 69th ranked LB.

Wow, you can tell I'm from the west coast. I didn't know what OSU meant. I was thinking Oregon State.

This was actually the 4th time in the last 5 years that ND's recruiting class has been better than OSU's according to Rivals.

I have no beef with OSU, I kinda like Jim Tressel he has done a great job there. You can't have a 1# class every year. But I am surprised they didn't have a better singing day since they actually WON a BcS game this year instead of getting there a$$ handed to them.

Warden Tressel's officially on watch around here. The natives have been restless the past two seasons. This recruiting season, in my opinion, while not horrible is not up to snuff and these people will be all over the Warden from here on out.... They were convinced that Henderson and James were theirs. Laughed my a$$ off when they weren't.

I think that OSU fans a delusional, Tressle has done so much for them they just done realize how good of a coach he is, conservative play calling may be an understatement, but he is still a good coach. How many years have they taken it to the whore known as Ann Arbor?

The spoils of success. I think people around here are stinging about being disrespected in the national media for the past few years. Since the 06' title game really. This season the venom reached a new level after the Purdue loss. Tressel realized Pryor couldn't carry the team and turnovers had cost the Buckeyes twice already. He really buttoned it up. People got angry, but they WON.

From talking to friends and co-workers today, they were not happy with the recruiting season. The most common complaint I hear is they offer some people too late in the game. They threw William Gholston into that category. O-line was need and they missed out on their top 2 CB prospects in Shaw and Joyner.

I love seeing Buckeye Nation get fired up!!!

WTF? Like those dickheads on the "bucknuts" sites don't bash the Irish whenever they get a chance. They deserve everything taunt/demoralizing comment they get!
