The ESPN show claims that BK will NEVER make it to a BCS bowl. Tough schedules and having not appeared in the BCS top 10 since '06 were the reasons cited.

How can ESPN say that our schedule is consistently tough when they call it Charmin Soft every damn year?

I'll give ESPN credit for this season, all of the previews and off-season talk has been the "experts" saying ND has the toughest schedule in the nation.

I was watching that show, but had to turn it off. They were stating opinions as facts and finding some random statistic to support it. It is an awful program.

I found it funny that Christian Furia was on SN right before saying Oregon will win the NC, but then immediately after, on that Numbers Never Lie, he said that LSU is the best team in CFB. It was a joke.

Espn anymore is a joke. For example right now the Orioles are right on the yankees back with the Yanks having some injurys. But they would rather spank off about what is still going on in boston. YEa the O's have a werid team make up but they are winning give them freaking credit.

Why does every one talk about Tiger? Oh because no matter what he is the golfer Espn lkes talk about nonstop. When he plays bad they jump all over him Tiger is done blah blah. When he wins well this is the tiger we want to see no **** this is the tiger everyone wants to see.

They pick the topics they want to Harp on and the beat it to death.

I agree and I was about to turn it off until they mentioned they were going to talk about ND. I had to see what pile of garbage they were going to spew.

I have never liked that particular show, I understand all the analysts being down on us, we havent dont anything for awhile. Numbers Never Lie is a terrible show. peoriairish is right, they state opinions as facts and throw a random stat out as if it proves their point.

Example:
"SEC will win the title again because they have the best teams, all good runs come in 7s..."

That show was a complete joke. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "stat" they used for ND not reaching a BCS bowl in the Kelly era was because ND hasn't been ranked inside the BCS top 10 in whatever years. BUT, before that they said FSU would finish inside the top 5 because the haven't been in the top 5 in whatever years.

According to the show you could use those same stats to argue the opposing point in each instance. Dumb.

Never watched that show.....

But, it's not like we've really given them reason to talk in quite sometime. Honestly, I don't mind them bashing ND...it means they're still paying attention and when we win, it will be that much sweeter.

This year is gonna be tough. Schedule, breaking in new talent....but next year we should be top 5.

ESPN has no love for ND, all they do is bash them. When the shamrock series uniforms were unveiled they were trashing them all over and snickering, saying ND needs a gimmick since they can't win. I think it's just sour grapes.

They do anything to stir the pot for their gain. Now its pity poor ole Notre Dame trying to do it right. I'd like to tell them all where to go but one things for sure the got what they want- semi pro football, no integrity to the college game and they have the market cornered. $$$$ corrupting all facets of the game. Now the nation is starting to realize the decay of college football. espn is like a person with a behavior disorder. Create the problem then try to fix it while bringing attention to yourself.

All espn cares about is promoting the SEC due to the TV deal. If you have noticed when Notre Dame plays on espn it's usually a night game. They know ND still brings an audience, and I feel we are on the right path. Like alot of teams it's live and die bye the QB play. GO IRISH

My problem with the show is that the use of numbers is really one dimensional; it's not a hardcore study of stats. It's just shallow stuff to build hype and leaves any real fan feeling disappointed.
