Best IE decision I have ever made is to never get on the gameday thread once I leave work on Friday evening.

I try to stay away. I rarely, if at all, post in the thread during games I’m watching with some buddies of mine. However, yesterday I watched it myself at my house. Need to learn from that mistakes and get better next week

Looking at the positive side, the fumble, penalties and miscues give the staff a way to bring focus this week.

Honestly, part of the fun of this message board is posting impulsively during the game. It adds a little spice to the whole "business trip" mentality that gets a little boring. I just try to acknowledge my mistakes which I make often.

As for the game, while Polian has struggled preparing this team to consistently perform on special teams, that was 100% Gilman on that blocked punt. I am confident he will learn from his mistake.

The team needs to strive for that four-quarter performance. Maybe, quite possibly, we will peak at the right time. All we can do as fans is maintain the optimism. There was a moment in the game when I started doubting, but the players didn't. Their last scoring drive was impressive to watch and it was capped off by a brilliant call.

Kelly needs to push for that first down at the end of the game though. Too much confusion going on there. And you knew Fitzgerald was going to use his timeouts.

I'm rewatching the game and after the Young TD catch, the announcer said it was his first career TD catch. Didn't he have at least 1 last year?

Who got the game ball for NW? Missed it.

Reps!

Also, he had a hell of a game, but I feel like that game was Ian's but, I'll take it.

I feel like Coach is saving the game ball for Ian for the SC game. Last game of the season and as long as we are undefeated it will be the game that gets us into the playoffs. Most games I think Ian could have been given the game ball so maybe there is a reason he hasn't gotten it, yet.

Got a clock management question for you guys and want to hear your thoughts. At the end of the first half against NW, we had them at 4th down at about our 40 with around 30 seconds left. Instead of calling a TO and forcing NW to punt, BK let NW run the clock down to about 3 seconds so they could throw a Hail Mary. This also happened at the end of the first half in the NC State game last year as well. Shouldn’t the play there be to force a punt?

The TV coverage of this game was A$$ imo. Hardly any replays. Looks like Book has been coached not to overthrow the long balls to give our guys a chance or at least a PI.

Yes and it's beyond me how this escaped everyone on the staff. Would have been brutal to get scored on whether TD or defensive penalty and subsequent FG
