Tonight's 2nd half showed exactly why we are THE FIGHTING IRISH!!!
Our D played very well all game, and couldnt helped the offense was anemic in the first half and kept them on the field so much.
Hendrix looked amazing. Yes he had one bad throw for a pick, which honestly if you go back and look at it was an awkward throw because of bad blocking that was barely overthrown.
However, it would be an absolute travesty if Hendrix is not our starter moving forward. He showed the complete package tonight, and I think we would have won tonight had he started.

GO IRISH!!!!

I think we all can agree that this year was by far the most mistake filled year of football in decades! With all the turnovers and penalties, who is to blame the coaches or players

This board drives me nuts. Go Hendrix. I loved Rees but Hendrix showed us all tonight.
I'm with you, I fully supported Rees and his abilities but I really loved the way the offense worked with Hendrix. I really noticed the difference in the way that the defense had to line up and play vs Hendrix...it opened things up.

Kelly wasted a season developing the wrong QB. Sometimes you just have to see how people play during a real game.

Aside from Zeke Motta's obligatory awful defensive play leading to the garbage td, the defense played pretty well. Stanford has a killer o-line and obviously Luck is pretty good. Also, who know what would have happened if our offensive players hadn't slipped so much on that awful field? Maybe if TJ doesn't slip, and converts that first down, we march down the field and score. Either way, this game wasn't all that bad, and most importantly, I think we know who our QB is.

While I hold both equally responsible, by now you would expect them to have matured beyond committing so many costly penalties and mental errors. But they haven't and that reflects poorly on coaching.

I got nervous :( I guess it started when his status about how homesick he was was what first got me worried.

Amen! He has the raw tools, just wish Brian Kelly (not BK :) would have used him a bit more earlier in the year.... By the way,,,, BK = the place Brian Kelly will be working in 2013 if he stays with Rees next year....
