I think a real BK conversation will likely happen

and I highly doubt O’Brien is coaching come this game

BOB does not appear to be it, for BC. But why would BK take that job?
BC's problem is not coaching, it's that, as a school, do not care to do what it takes to win in modern college football. Their NIL sucks. Their facilities suck. Their recruiting turf is mid at best (and the best players from New England are increasingly going to places like Notre Dame and Michigan). Basically they don't spend real money on football.
They do have a new university president for the first time in a long time, who may be willing to invest more. But unless they completely sell out, it's a really hard place to win, and I don't know that BK's long-ago roots in Boston are enough of a pull to overcome that. They should hire the next Bob Chesney (good coach from some small school in New England).

I don’t think they hire BK but I’m just saying it’s gonna be talked about.

and BK has over 250 more college football wins as a HC than BOB. Dude has never won more than 8 games. Eight.

BC did have a TD taken away by the refs on an end zone fumble recovery that was ruled an incomplete pass. Their latest QB experiment, McKenzie, is a pretty good runner but inconsistent at best as a passer. Their OLine did him no favors, they sucked

Sure. Agree that BK is a far more accomplished college football coach.

But I guess also I live in Boston and no one in Boston gives a shit about Brian Kelly or claims him as one of ours. Dude left Massachusetts for Michigan 40 years ago and never really came back. Whereas BOB made his name coaching with the Patriots and has a lot of ties here.

If Kelly wanted to insert himself into the conversation for the BC job, I’m sure his agent could make that happen. But I don’t think there’d be any local clamor for him here, is all.
