NOTRE DAME vs BAMA

not much i can do to make the most of it... i mean, i'd go strap on pads and practice if they'd let me lol.

i'm optimistic with our chances vs Clemson. pessimistic vs Bama. i'm not pessimistic to the point i'm unhappy or anything. i'm stoked as hell, just setting proper expectations in my brain.

Ha, I meant the players, but how badass would that be to put on the pads for a day? As spectators, we kinda of just go along with the show, but I think it’s okay to be optimistic even if it isn’t always based on pure reason. Things can get wild in football. Anyway, you know I respect your opinion. Your opinions are more often than not very balanced.

i was just funnin brother. the older i get, the less optimistic (on sports) i let myself get. way too much heartbreak over the last 40 years being a ND and IU fan, Colts/Pacers/Cubs fan. i'm not pessimistic, just try to be realistic. and i still enjoy the hell out of less than great seasons (except 2016 lol). one of the most enjoyable games i've been to the last ten years was the loss @Clemson. Bottom line, I'd rather be ecstatic with an unexpected NC, than miserable because we lost. just enjoying the ride!

Bama is on another level. Georgia is built to take them on but unfortunately for them, Kirby Smart is their coach. Some absolutely terrible decisions made to end the game.

Bama played mistake-ridden football for nearly a half and still won. I'll wait to see how our OL plays against Clemson, if they hold up well, then I'll start to believe but this will be their stiffest test.

Can't wait to see our guys take the field on the 29th

Because they looked so impressive against a Georgia team that isn’t as good as it was last year? I assume you won’t watch the game then since we have no chance if winning.

The only reason I disagree with this, and you're not the only one who's said it, a lot of the "experts" have as well, is the play of Fromm.

That dude has flat out stepped it up this year and he was lights out against Bama in the first half, and then they imploded by getting too conservative when they should have stepped on Bama’s throats.

UGA handed that game to Bama. Missing a chip shot FG from goggles, who is normally automatic, getting wayyyy to pansy on offense when Fromm was slicing and dicing that defense…Kirby Smart should be 2-0 against Bama but will have nightmares his entire career from both games playing the "woulda-shoulda-coulda" scenarios over and over in his head.
