I was messing around on YouTube the other day and I ran across these ND/Adidas commercials from the late '90's when ND made the switch from Champion. Very Funny!

They were some of the best ever.

The only one I miss is the video of the ND player meeting an opponent at the goal line and crushing him... FADE TO BLACK

Reps to you Goshen. Been looking for the first commercial where the father runs to the crying baby, but turns around to tap the ND signs. Great stuff.

the 2 w/ Montana are just classic, especially the one w/ the helmet painting.

Anyone remember the one that said something like, "To this day, Notre Dame uses real gold to paint their helmets. So when opposing players get hit, a lot of times a smudge of real gold is left on their own helmets. Now, one smudge doesn't amount to much..." and then it showed a highlight real of players getting nailed by Domers for awhile, before the graphics came back "...but over nearly 100 years, they can add up. Its not football. It's Notre Dame football." I loved that one.

I also love the ESPNU "Never Graduate" commercials. Their Notre Dame version took place at a wedding reception. The bride and groom were called out to the dance floor for their first dance together as a married couple and the song that started to play was the Victory March.

I don't know if any of you guys have seen this yet, but here is a site that has a bunch of ND related video clips. Mostly game highlights. All the way from the 1930 Army game up to today's Oldie videos.

edit: Some clips have been removed from their host for some reason.

Joe Montana Adidas Commercial

Joe Montana Adidas Commercial

For your viewing pleasure, compliments of YouTube, an Adidas commercial that aired in the late 1990's. Features Joe Montana and Father Riehle discussing Notre Dame football. Very funny. Only 30 seconds long, quality of the picture is not so great, but the quality of the dialogue is priceless.

Thanks for the bump. Love the Joe Montana ones. I didn't know he was in the helmet painting one too - that was hilarious. It was really great of him to do those commercials for the university.

I could almost see myself acting like that dad in the ND Kid/Parent commercial when I finally become a dad. LOL!

There is another one with Father Riehle...

There is another one with Father Riehle...

It shows the good father pruning in a flower garden and
in conversation with Montana. The priest refers to the
Cotton Bowl, but Joe thinks he is referring to the super
bowl. Much the same dialogue but from the Holtz era.

Another public relations ad showed a girl stretching be-
fore a swim meet. It tells how she was never to walk
again from a bus accident with the ND swim team. It
shows her in a competition meet and the blurb is "This
is Notre Dame!"

Does anyone have a link to the video that they play in the Eck Visitor Center (I believe) with an overview of the University from the early years to today? Can't think of the name of it and can't find it on nd.edu. I know that the narrator was an Irish chick and it had Fr. Jenkins giving a commencement speech talking about his vision for the future of Notre Dame. At the end of the video, it broke into the song Here Come The Irish. Any help would be appreciated. I'm too tired and frustrated to look anymore. :) Thanks.

Unbelievable and INSPIRING! Now I'm hyped to start the work week.

One of the mods should make this vid available on the front page, everyone should watch this to reinforce what the University stands for and why we believe in the spirit of Notre Dame.
