Best and Worst Colleges for Converting Elite Recruits into NFL Draft Picks:

Couple things:
A) We know we have sucked, Weis killed us.
B) Bama I am sure has a higher than average number of 4 and 5 's kids so they all can't get drafted because they all can't play
C) How many 4 and 5 's has Kentucky really signed. From the calculation method, it is # of kids drafted in total by school as a factor of number of 4 and 5 's.

As a follow-up to our previous post, we would like to provide a more complete view of the best and worst colleges based on converting elite recruits into NFL Draft picks (number of draft picks divided by the number of four and five star recruits). This study considers the last six NFL drafts, and examines the top sixty schools in terms of relevant recruiting cycles over the past twelve years. We exclude schools that have not produced a single draft pick in the 2007-2012 period or that have less than four elite recruits over the relevant recruiting cycles.

Not too shocking I think. Our elite recruits either transfer or they often ride the bench/don't perform at the level prescribed. Once in awhile we get a Michael Floyd that shines on the field. A lot of it can probably be attributed to poor past coaching, but you can probably blame recruiting services too. We've had a number of players over the last decade that got beat out by lower ranked recruits.
