Another post said senior analyst which makes sense. Harris Bivin is the same with Tight Ends under Denbrock. Guys like O’Leary and Lezynski also satisfied titles like that (analyst but basically position coach)

Interesting how it played out. Codlin leaves for North Texas, comes back and is rehired. Can we assume that Coach Freeman pulled some strings and got this done when he otherwise might not have been able to retain Codlin previously?

There is definitely a sense of urgency with getting things done when it comes to hires. They had to watch Codlin leave only to bring him back a short time later. I think that speaks to the level of operation this program is at right now.

It does feel like everyone at ND came to the agreement that they’re in a title-winning window right now, and no one seems to want to be the one that closes it.

I really think the run to the title game is probably what got all of the last holdouts onboard.

Codlin left before Mickens left? Before, it was likely a cost worth bearing because Mickens was an insurance blanket that covered the secondary. Now that he departed, they likely decided it'd be best for continuity to bring someone back who is love/respected by the players and understands what/how they want to teach.
