We didn’t have the best players and we were close in many of those games. Not sure if we weren’t able to put 14 every game except that miserable NC state game.

I do think that the coaches try to be too cute with the RB rotation. Either Love or Price should be out there 90%+ of the time. I can’t think of another team that forces rotating through 3 or 4 RBs every game.

Yes, early enough season loss plus some SEC and BIG upsets will allow for us to be 9/10.

When you go all-in on a one year rental portal QB and he ends up sucking, you’re SOL for that year AND you’ve stunted the potential growth of a younger QB. Florida State is in the same situation right now.

Except ND has legit options on the bench. I think Angeli at QB with basically the same game plan makes this a blowout win for ND.

I think it depends a lot more now on what other teams do. Will definitely need some help from other teams going forward. Stacking up 11-1 records with other teams will be tough otherwise. Based on these first 2 games though, finishing 11-1 would be an absolute miracle.

Also Faison needs to be in over Greathouse. I reckon Faison makes that catch.

The fact that these coaches see Leonard (and the punter) in practice and don't see the issues is alarming. Aside from Greathouse blowing it on the one good deep ball our WRs have been fine. Leonard is neither seeing nor delivering an accurate ball to open receivers. He's worse than Hartman.

He has enough to scramble now and again but I don't think you'd see many designed runs like you saw with Book.
