Hey dudes,

I feel like our offensive depth is like boarder-line great...
i feel our defensive line depth is great...
clearly we're stocked at the outside linebacker..
I know we're bringing in two top corners and we've got some other's on the roster...

but what does inside linebacker look like over the next couple years?? I'm assuming manti stays one more season..fox, carlo, mcdonald are around a little longer....but like where do we stand there? is rabassa an inside or outside linebacker? is anyone coming in? who's already on the roster i haven't heard of?

Same with safety, whats that rotation look like over the next couple?

Also have Utopo, Moore, and Grace there. Rabasa was seeing work inside before his injury.

McDonald is a senior. I doubt he's going to get a 5th year.

Fox/ Calabrese and Te'o should still be the #1s at WILB and MILB next year. Moore is the #2 MILB. Not sure where Justin Utupo is; maybe the #3 WILB. Anthony Rabasa and Jarrett Grace are both red-shirting this year, but they're good enough to push for playing time next year.

Next year Slaughter and Motta probably return as the #1 FS and SS respectively. I expect Eilar Hardy to be the #2 FS and Austin Collinsworth to be the #2 SS. After that, we've got a lot of incoming frosh-- Nicky Baratti, Chris Badger, John Turner, and CJ Prosise.

Shaq Thompson would definitely be in that two-deep if and when he commits.

Because of Spond/Councell/Perkins and IWilliams/Niklas/Spence?, it is not impossible to see Shembo inside. If I am trying to get my best athletes on the field, and if I'm considering the 2013 season [i.e. with Manti sadly gone], then I am not locating a lot of those "best" in currently inside linebacker definitions, whereas ALL of those six up top could be considered among my best.

Say that Grace and Rabasa meet the really-good criterion; I'm not yet convinced that Moore does since Will was sitting there for an elite to move in and it didn't happen even two-deep. Placing Shembo in there suddenly makes that position look a lot more fast and physical. AND I'd still like to find one more. Maybe Spond also will move over [he worked out there his freshman year]. I've been hollering down the well for a tough MLB with speed all recruiting season.

It may just be me, but Eilar at least from the eye-test looks extremely small and at least 2 years away from a solid playing weight.

We've said this so many times, but there is just no way to overstate this. There may not have been 3 more genetically gifted individuals, physique-wise, for their age, residing within 1 mile of each other in the history of the world. Do you think it is fair to say that there has never been a more physically imposing Frosh class in the history of college football, assuming you exclude jumbo high body fat linemen who can be imposing even though they have a ton of body transformation to do. Is it even close?

"There is no way to overstate this", but yet that is exactly what you did. Sorry, but either you are a troll trying to make ND fans look foolish, or this is just a very bad post. And I'm honestly torn as to which you are, after re-reading your post.

And I changed your title...
