Bill Guerin skated with at the flyers facilities with some players. I expect he'll go to training camp with them on a try out and be on the team.

didnt they let Halak go? If they want to shop Price, who is their guy between the pipes?
I thought allowing Halak to leave was a good choice, he got hot in the playoffs and is due a big pay day. But Im not sure he is the guy that everyone saw in the playoffs last year. I thought Halak had a Austin Croshere** playoff season.
**Austin Croshere got hot in the playoffs during a contract year for the Indiana pacers. Got a big contract because of it. Then the next year he went back to being buried on the bench and not an impact player by any means

League and the NHLPA just agreed to move the deadline for the decision on the Kovalchuk contract from 5ET today to 5ET on Friday. Strange move. It is interesting because if the league approves the contract, New Jersey won't have much time to dump salaries before camp starts. Unless they already have something in place and are just waiting for a final determination. Who knows?
Weird offseason. Still so many things unsettled. Kovi-gate, Bobby Ryan not signed, Elite goalies having trouble finding work, the Bulin Wall extreme DUI, and all the other drama.

Yeah they did. I didn't think they'd do it before, but with Niemi off the board there is no way in hell they do it. I honestly feel bad for Price. If he could get out of Montreal I think he's be a star, but playing in Montreal the kids head has got to be spinning

Yeah I don't know with Kovy. To me the NHL is a complete joke. I mean it takes that long to review one contract?
I agree with the crazy off season. Don't forget about the Yotes drama. Will they get sold or won't they. Personally i'd love to see them back in Winnipeg, but thats just me

Oh my God! There is hockey tonight! Kings have their first preseason game. Then they have their first home preseason game tomorrow night! Hockey is back! I am so geeked out of my mind for hockey! Makes the sting of the last two weeks a little easier to bear.

I'll throw the Lindros trade out there....
Philly gets Lindros, a lot of headaches, and a broom helping them out of the finals.
Quebec gets Peter Forsberg, Ron Hextall, Chris Simon, Mike Ricci, Kerry Huffman, Steve Duchesne, Jocelyn Thibault, Nolan Baumgartner, 15,000 cash and a stanley cup...

Lol. Well they didn't really touch franchise mode. There is 7 rounds in the draft which is cool. Be a pro is a little different with the CHL being in it. The new physics system is cool also the broken stick thing is cool. I think its an upgrade over 10 and worth it, but thats just me

I was almost certainly gonna get it anyway... I would never have traded in 10 if I didn't get a red screen... I traded in the old broken PS3 and about six games for a brand new slim 120 straight up... NHL was included...
anyway, I love me some hockey.... baseball was hard to watch for me this year as the Angels were so freakin frustrating... and ND is ND...
hockey should be kinder... hopefully

of course it's early to the point that nothing counts yet but I have watched more pre season than I ever have... with that said Edmonton's defense looks horrible compared to the rest of the teams I have watched... may be another long year there....

Well, the season officially starts tonight! Can't wait! I haven't been this excited for hockey season in a long, long time.
As a side note, I guess NHL Center Ice is going to be free for the first 18 days or so. Most cable companies are participating, from what I can tell. Looking forward to watching many of the out of market games while I can.
