Burn him at the stake for his 24 yo mistake. It was 15 years ago. Never convicted.
Are you serious? You realize it s not us that won’t hire him right? If you got such a problem with it take it up with ND. By the way ND not giving him a job and burning him at the stake is no where near an accurate analogy.

Wonder how hard it would be to get OC Kevin Barbay after he already signed with Miss St. He seems like a stud.

On top of all of this, Jack chewed MF out for wanting it warmer in the Gug.

I can’t wait for the push on how Parker developed Michel Mayer.

From a PR perspective, I refuse to believe it will be Parker. It will take yesterday's fiasco and make it infinitely worse. My guess: they leak his interview went well, so that when they reach out to Lewis / someone from NFL - if they get turned down it doesn't look as bad when they fall to Parker. It's worth remembering that Parker was at the hockey game too, whining and dining Ludwig. Doesn't seem like he was much of a contender then.

I wanted Rees out after Marshall and Stanford. I get the frustration with him, I get why people wanted him fired. But I warned all the fucking haughty beat reporters and anyone who would listen when he left for Bama that we were probably screwed here and it was NOT good that Tommy was leaving when he did. Sampson said it was an "opportunity" and I thought that was laughable. A late cycle defection to Bama means that Rees was the best that Bama could get... and in that case, that means ND is likely to have to settle for someone objectively worse not better.

ND had a couple options to sidegrade the position and whiffed. They now need to either 1) completely reevaluate what they are willing to pay and poach an established coach from elsewhere 2) go with a straight downgrade/retread. We all know they are leaning towards #2. They need someone who is currently not on the market to pop up as an option in about the next week or it's going to cost ND a full season and potentially torpedo Marcus Freeman's entire tenure at the helm of ND.

If this were F1, it feels like Marcus Freeman (Team Principal Christian Horner) has delivered a competitive Red Bull car and Jack Swarbrick (Team Owner Red Bull) is going to let him choose between Stevie Wonder and Helen Keller as his driver. For goodness sake, you might not be able to get Max but at least go get a George, Charles, or Carlos. Don't settle for Parker (Latifi).

I guess Driskell found out Salty Peanuts or Charlie Weis’s Last Belt Loop is actually Savvyy Jack after he unmasked himself to Coach Dew on a midnight call and got him back on the ND Homer Reservation. My new found love for Coach Built Bars lasted less than 24 hours…. C’est La vie-

Would seem incredibly tone-deaf to immediately settle for Parker. Would think Jack is at least PR savvy enough to bring other candidates first to save face If nothing else.

You should wait and enjoy the current push for how terrible Parker is even though nobody here knows jack shit about how he'll do.
Some of us are using his past performance as an OC as to inform us how he's going to perform going forward. It's a little more than "jack shit".

or hire the QB Coach or OL Coach first

Assuming it’s not Gino G which would make it worse

Did a quick google search and found that our first spring practice last year was around March 17th. That gives us a month to get this figured out so a reasonable spring can be put in place. A lot of time being lost.

Sampson mentioned on the II podcast that the main reason Klein no longer became a candidate was because of the feedback MF got back from the QB room. Klein really bombed when he spoke to them. O'Malley chimed in saying the only opinion that should have mattered in that situation was Hartman's.

So the point is, if it ends up being Parker then it's likely MF has already gotten feedback from Hartman that he's OK with that.

What qb room? So we’re making a choice based on a one year kid? Nice.
As often as assistant coaches move to new jobs and teams, HELL yes.

I think RB wins the constructors with Charles and Carlos. Ferrari is just so incompetent.
