2. Driskell said donors are emailing him pissed off, no one asked them they woulda paid for the buyout.
3. Driskell has had past and current players tell him there is equipment that doesn't work ice bathes in the locker room that aren't working none of them are.

I am sorry but this is 100 on Swarbrick.. from forcing the Tommy hire to not structuring his contract right so he couldn't leave or had a massive buyout to all the bad PR and not having a plan in place for hiring after Tommy has been flirting with other programs for a year.... a complete disaster in every which way

I have quite a few friends that are huge UGA fans……they didn’t like Bobo when he was there before, this will not be a popular hire.

I’m in trust Kirby mode. Bobo has been with the team for a couple of years, so he knows the roster and the expectations. QB situation is my biggest concern.
As for the Irish situation, having more analysts in staff sure would help.

Trying to be optimistic here, is it possible they weighed what they would get paying the buyout for Ludwig + OL coach and thought they could get more for the money with another combination. (Maybe MF wasn't overly thrilled with the OL coach, and that weighed in.) If that's the case, it really would've been in ND's interests to make the story more about the staffing choice than the buyout -- which is an awful optic.

None of this will do jack shit. ND donor base are not involved with the program like SEC and Big 10 schools. They don't contribute enough or have enough involvement in the Athletic Department. Had this happened at OSU - those donors would have fixed the issue. Not at ND.

This is exactly right. Nothing shows how out of touch people are who donate $200 to keep access to the alumni lottery than thinking emailing Driskell matters to anyone other than them and Driskell. Anyone of consequence knows who to contact about their displeasure, and it sure as shit ain't Driskell or any of the other people who have an increased sense of self-importance because they run a pay-site.

I was in denial for many years, I am finally coming to the realization that I am never going to witness a National Championship. This is an embarrassing day for the University of Notre Dame. I totally can understand the not wanting to pay that buyout plus the salaries, but the fact that they knew all of this going in and decided to bail last minute? the fuck?
