But that bookstore will still be packed with people, lines out the door...some going into credit card debt to buy $90 hoodies. But ND cant compete for top notch coaches...SMH

It's going to be Fr. Bob Dowd, then Fr. Pat. (I think.) I think both understand the importance of sports at ND. With whatever other limits ND places on itself, money cannot be an obstacle.

I just hope they see how special being the only school in america that combines elite football and elite academics (so long as stanford keeps losing) is.

Looks like Father Pat is teaching at YLS now. Gotta appreciate the university's commitment to being run by philosopher priests. Say what you will, but I love how weird of a place ND remains.

Having a hard time understanding why the buyout is now becoming an issue after the offer? Surely the amount was known before.

I think he is either back at ND now, or doing something else. He is clerking on SCOTUS and then I think will be back teaching at NDLS. Then maybe become the President in 20 years or something.

Florida, USC, and Michigan are in that conversation. The only thing that is weird is that ND handicaps its Football program and stands on an elitist soap box and still rakes in more money off of its football program, outside of Texas. But hey " Our players are better students than your".........

Went back to Loy’s notes from today. He said this afternoon:

- I believe he has an offer and they are simply waiting to be informed of his decision.

- I believe conversations with Whittingham are supposed to occur today.

So for the buyout story to be true. Either ND pulled their offer at the eleventh hour OR Freeman extended an offer without full approval. Something still seems off with Whittingham getting final serve.

You’d more than make up for the buyout with the bowl game a coordinator of this quality would more than likely have gotten you to this year. If this is truly a decision based on finances this is incredibly short sighted. This shit is getting old man.

Wait he's clerking on SCOTUS right now? Just looked it up and he's Kavanaugh 24-25 lmao holy crap. When he was writing me up back in the dorms I'd never have guessed.

Florida definitely not, no one thinks of them as an academic school recent ratings manipulation aside. USC is a rich kid school, not academically serious for undergrads. Michigan I will give you, which is why beating them in football is so important.

I’ve never boycotted anything in my life and I damn sure won’t boycott ND over this, but honestly this is maybe the first time in my fanhood where I’ve felt that if the university itself isn’t all in and invested, why should I be?

Dukes Mayo Bowl would have covered it.

I've been working out, eating dinner, and took a break... Come back here and all Hell has broken loose! Apologies in advance if already said (I'm way too many pages behind here now to go back and look), this plays right into why BK allegedly left for LSU - Damn ND Admin/AD!!

He is going off the rails. Bringing up about stuff in the clubhouse that doesn't work and so forth. I wonder if all this is true. first time i have ever watched him.
