New Uniforms???

This is just a random (and maybe dumb) question for you guys, but i was just curious if anyone knows if we will be getting new uniforms anytime soon??? I believe we have had the same addidas ones for a few years now......

There were changes made with last years, slight, number sizes and placement. Wouldn't surprise me if we had some other modifications, but I dont know what else they'd do.

The blue is not quite as dark as the last couple years and the numbers stand out a little better. I would even be good with gold trim around the collar. But, the blue we've had lately seems almost like black to me.

I also like the green jerseys with the gold numbers that we haven't seen since 2006. Hopefully we see them for the USC game.

I like the restraint Notre Dame has shown with their uniforms. Too many teams have gone insane pairing every combination of colors they can think of (i.e. Oregon, Clemson, West Virginia). And why the hell do Florida State, Rutgers, and Louisville wear all black uniforms? They don't even have black as a school color.

I know the reason for this is mostly due to marketing and commercial purposes, but I like things I can count on. When I watch ND play I know I'm going to see gold (for the golden dome), blue ( for the Blessed Virgin), and every once in a great while green (for the university's Irish heritage). Any other uniform for the Irish is unnecessary as far as I'm concerned.

I completely agree, tradition is something that makes ND strong. Breaking tradition with some black uni's, or some other fad-of-the-time I think would be a mistake (it would make ND like all other university's that have done it, and those that followed suit)

I had a mixed reaction to the names on the Jerseys for HAW game. But the more I thought about it, it makes it special for the players, almost as a reward for making it to bowl game. But I would definitely NOT want the names on for every game.

I think Tradition begats some self-discipline/responsibility; if current players understand that they do the same things that all past ND players have done, it puts more of an emphasis that they 'live up' to the tradition. it adds to the ND mystique, I think.

I love the current jerseys. They are clean and simple. I hope we never go with black ever, that looks horrible.

How do you guys feel about the road green jerseys? I would like to see them brought back at some point. However I do feel charlie has overused the green. It should be a once every ten years kind of thing.

i like the current unis and would never want to see any major changes. didnt like the stripes down the sides when we had them. simply blue jerseys and gold pants, simple white jerseys and gold pants.

the tradition is a huge thing to as someone said before it says alot. nd makes enough money off of enough things to not worry about some cash from extra jersey sales!

i do however like the green jerseys, i wouldnt want to see them every game, wouldnt even want to see them every year but every other year in a big game situation would be ok with me. if the team sucks as it has the past 2 years then they dont get to wear them as there are no big games when you are 5 and 8!
