It looks like we will have a new green uniform. The numbers, and color scheme look the same, but it has the new collar, and "ND" on the sleeves instead of TV numbers. I'm mixed on it, although I will probably buy it. I'm a sucker like that...

I've never like those green uni's.

They are green Saints jerseys.

Actually, that green color looks a little different from the Weis era. Maybe a little richer color.

It's the same shade I believe GreatDanye, I own two of the Charlie era Greens and it looks exactly the same color wise.

Personally, I liked the Ty era ones we had once were the colors on the number were reversed... white numberswith gold trim instead of gold numbers with white trim

We finally agree!

White numbers with gold trim is the way to go. Or just plain white numbers.

And yeah...it's the same shade of green as Weis'.

oh... okay... in that case let me take this moment to respond to my hippie friend.

P.I.S.S.O.F.F.

for those who don't know... that stands for pissoff

:devil_2:

I'm not sure if he was referring to your post, or simply making an observation on all the different uniform combos we have seen over the years. I remember him posting somewhere how he liked the John Huarte era uniforms the most.

oh I'm almost certain it wasn't... I just couldn't help taking a shot at our beloved resident hippie...

I agree with Eric Cartman when it comes to those patchouli smelling crazies...

Yes, it was Keep It Simple, Stupid.
I would think that a die-hard right wing reactionary such as you, ACamp, would be familiar with the acronym, especially if you have a military background.

I have no idea what Cartman has to say about patchouli. I never liked the stuff. Yep, I like The Dead. I'm what might be considered a third or fourth tier Dead Head. I didn't/don't like all they did, but the '69 album recorded at The Fillmore East and the Europe '72 sets are atop my list of "must sway and swirl to" recordings.

I've not commented on Notre Dame's uniforms, as I recollect. I could be wrong, but a search would be wasted time. Again: KISS.

Blue, Gold and White are all we need.

Love Touch of Gray. But if I'm not mistaken, I don't think Deadheads like it that much because it's too popular. Or was at the time. I may be mistaken. Love that Uncle John's Band tune too, but generally don't care for the Dead.

Oh, shit. I suppose this is the point where I self-deprecatingly mention that I was already showing more than just a touch of grey when the song came out. Yes, yes ... I've been old and in the way for quite some time now, by some measures.

It's a damn good song. "The cow is giving kerosene. He can't read at seventeen, the words he knows are all obscene, but it's all right. I will get by, I will get by, I will get by ... I will survive."

In light of their longevity The Dead released few studio albums. They were, and are, most noted for their live performances – and recordings of those performancests. To be slightly more contemporary, think String Cheese Incident. Or any other "Jam Band."

I, for one, was happy to see The Dead hit the charts with something other than Casey Jones. I just regret that I never got the chance to see them perform it live.

Back to the regularly scheduled programming.
