No, there is a tax. It tells you all of it on the screen. If you don't see that, you're in the wrong place.

Interest for what, the banked money?
well, all sorts of aspects. like, what probability theif is set at. how the interest system works. those two mostly. also, just the general setup of the whole system. i mean, if it's proprietary, then that's cool. but if it's open, i'd sure be obliged if you pointed me in the right direction.
the rep system too, i guess. i've been wondering what the purple dealy does and what threshold it takes effect at. also was wondering the threshold for "spread it around". and why my rep went from 710 to 690 without any negative rep!!! : D

Well, for the money part:
Interest is 2% and accrues weekly. You earn money for posting, referring new members, etc. That all varies depending on the action. Varsity Club members get a weekly paycheck and item discount.

It's appeared in my UserCP with the rest of my rep.
It happened to me twice, both before the vbPlaza opened. I'm assuming it's "toning down" my rep, since i've only gotten good rep since i've gotten here, and in kind of a quick time period. But I'd like to know what the thresholds are for that, what the mechanism is, etc.

how does neutral reputation work? i haven't seen a button to give neutral reputation, so i guess i'm a bit confused by it. does it alter your totals? does it just sit there?

Not sure of the ins and outs. You probably could find more info on the vBulletin.com website in their online help manual.

Those complaining about ref, media, conference, or BCS bias can buy Prozac (or hopefully we could buy it for them) .
For victorsvaliant some Diflucan for that constant itch that bothers him so badly.
For those anxious about Florida hanging 60 on us some Buspar.
Nexium for the Heisman heartburn afflicted.
Novasc for the high blood pressure crowd aggravated by safeties biting on play action.
Flexeril to relax those tight muscles from wanting to choke May, Corso, and Mussberger.
