Listened to ISD's power hour earlier. Mike Frank suggested lots of things and I generally find their input enjoyable. Perhaps just less preaching than Coach D. Anyways....

Mike suggested the online drop the tight end and go with 6 o linemen. I love the idea and would enjoy this not only in the red zone, but all game line. Give the running game a jump start. Its worked for Stanford forever. Our TE's haven't been getting it done blocking or receiving so why not do it.

If we were going to win on ball control, owning the line of scrimmage, and grinding out close games I'd agree. I just don't see it. Give me four wide and sling it. Throw in some runs to keep em kinda honest and let's outscore some teams.

After Keivarae Russell and CJ Prosise, evaluating players is maybe the one area that I trust Kelly's judgement.

The #1 Jersey BS gimmick needs to die especially since we no longer hold the most winningest CFB team anymore.

I don't think the rotating #1 jersey has anything to do with being the winningest team in CFB. I was under the impression that it was a tribute to Greg Bryant?

I haven't posted in quite some time, but I do read this board and appreciate the insights offered. Obviously, this season has been a disappointment and I don't think we have the defensive talent to run any form of man defense. With Vaughn playing well, what about switching to a zone scheme? You could mask our inability to play man and also not have Vaughn and others trying to chase guys across the field.

I'm grasping at straws here, but I don't think anyone on the roster or incoming next year (no disrespect to Adeebo) will ever turn into Mackensie Alexander. If nothing else, it should theoretically be a bend but don't break type defense (missed tackles, etc. notwithstanding).

Admittedly, this is based off of Seattle's success with "lesser" players but didn't want anyone to think I expect those kinds of results.

I think you may see this with Hudson.

Our O-line has been a major disappointment, particularly in the run game IMO. While McGlinchey is projected as a future NFL starter, he has not been producing like his two former predecessors.
