Ryan Clark should probably sit that one out lol. Don’t defend that shit.
Not following the socials, but that pf by JClark was fucking bizarre from a guy who has been so heady all season. Watts excluded, he's been our most consistent db until that moment.

He tends to be a smug ass on twitter and people are sick of it. Calling out his new job for what it is, click bait.
It’s obnoxious. I thought he did good work at Irish Breakdown, but he has big dweeb energy on social media.

There has been a few guys now, younger guys, who did pretty well at IB, going back to the beginning, who left for greener pastures who didn’t pan out.
Then you have Vince, who is completely worthless, who wouldn’t leave if you paid him to go. He would just sit on Bryan’s porch with a megaphone during the live shows yelling, “yep, you are 100% correct. I love you Coach.”

I don’t listen to IB much, but I sometimes need six hours of background noise. If I see Vince on the live stream preview, I don’t bother clicking.

My favorite IB discussions are when Bryan discusses food. It always makes me laugh. The new guy (Trevor?) is pretty solid.

Listened to Power Hour and Mike and Jamie were both very positive about the game and the job the coaching staff did, especially considering all the injuries. Much more positive than I read on this board.

It’s funny how people always call Mike out for being negative when it’s usually the fans who lose their minds during the season when we don’t end up 12-0 every year. Good listen.

The Browns trading their present and future for Watson evolved me into the ultimate form of sicko Browns fan who roots for the Browns to lose when he’s under center.
The only respectable position tbh. It was fun to root for them last year when Flacco was dealing

Can’t stop laughing at how absolutely spot on this is. His favorite line when Driskell says anything is just a long drawn out “yessssss”

Agreed. Listened to this last night and came away feeling better about the win than I did on Saturday. The point they really tried to drive home is that ND has less experience on the OL than any other top 25 team...and it's not even close. The offensive play calls might get frustrating, but RL has no time to stand in the pocket to check down to a 3rd receiver. Offensive play calls are designed to be quick, decisive and tailored to their shortcomings up front. There's a very good chance this will play out over the remainder of the season, and fans just need to understand that we have one hand tied behind our back. Beating a top 15 team that was gifted a 7-0 lead to start the game was a gutsy performance. The O-Line will improve over the course of the year, but there is a ceiling when 3 of the best players are wearing street clothes. Offensive play calling will be vanilla, and we just have to accept that and stop the bit*hing. I just hope that our play makers step up and become the dudes we want them to be.

He’s not much different than fans on this board IMO. He was positive after this past game which was good to hear but he’s still like listening to a fan who really has no other insights compared to the rest of the beat. I heard he happened to be one of the first outlets to report Willingham’s firing and used that to propel ISD to where it is today. Good for him for striking while the iron is hot but I’d prefer he just run the company and let Jamie & Greg do the analysis. They’re great.

I will defend Mike in saying that it is his job to be critical, while elaborating as to why he is critical. I think the challenge with Mike is that he is also a fan. Like most ND fans over the last 25 years, he is often frustrated with the fact that many of the things ND does is repetitive while expecting a different result. However, he has said more positive things over the last 2 years than I can ever remember. He acknowledges that MF is making strides off the field that other coaches before him have not been able to accomplish. He just has to show more on the field.

I will say that the addition of Jamie U was the best move Mike ever made. Jamie is the best in the business, and I love that he may not always agree with Mike and will say it. I wasn't the biggest fan of Matt in the beginning of his tenure, but he has grown on me as well. Gregs analysis is great, but he sometimes talks over Jamie which can frustrate me. It's tough to find the best combination for all fans, but I think ISD has personalities that work well together. I would rather listen to a realist than a fantasist. I have trouble listening to some other personalities because it feels as if they are afraid to offend someone. I just want to hear it like it is, with an explanation to back it up.

My point is that Mike brings nothing to the table that I can’t get on a message board. Doesn’t mean I don’t listen but he’s not an analyst nor a beat writer. If he were either, he’d be less likely to let his fandom & emotions drive his takes. Just my opinion.

I disagree as he’s usually more spot on with his pre season predictions because he talks about the team’s negatives. Seems like other ND beat guys always pump sunshine out, which gets everyone’s hopes up.

I’m not sure how anyone is surprised that our offense isn’t a juggernaut. First year OC, QB coming off injuries, average WRs, and an extremely inexperienced OL. At this point, 10-2 with a win over USC would be great.

I went to the show on YouTube & don’t see that? At the 48:18 mark they are talking PSU/USC & I don’t see them ever talking ND game.
Which game were they talking about when they said it?

They have a quick interjection about Avery Johnson getting injured live and looking like he shit his pants. Line was drawn to Vince lol
