Arike made a layup at the 7:20 mark making the score ND 94 BC 33.

At 6:25 Arike and Marina Sat and Benz and Young came on court.

Young went to the bench at 5:19 and the score ND 94- BC 35.

ND's All Scrub Lineup scored 3 pts and allowed 12 in the last 5:19 of play.

After outscoring BC 37-7 in the 3Q, ND was outscored in the 4Q 18-9.

Final
HTML:
TM 1	2	3	4	T
ND	22	29	37	9	97
BC	11	11	7	18	47

As bad as I thought the Scrubs looked, they only had 4 turnovers in that last 5:19 span. I thought it was a lot more. By comparison in the 1Q the ND starters had 8 turnovers in 10 minutes ... comparable mediocrity by 5 of the 30 Naismith Candidates.

No wonder Muffet goes Bedlam.

Smh.

Vaughn was reported not making the trip due to concussion protocol ... but Jordan Nixon did not play tonight although sitting on the bench with no prior report of injury. ???

A Pair Of Double Doubles, Jess and Jackie

A Pair Of Double Doubles, Jess and Jackie

No. 6 Notre Dame coasts to 97-47 win over Boston College
7:49 PM CT
Associated Press

BOSTON -- Arike Ogunbowale scored 23 points to move into second place on Notre Dame's all-time scoring list, and the sixth-ranked Fighting Irish coasted to a 97-47 victory over Boston College on Wednesday night.

Brianna Turner scored 19 and Jessica Shepard had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Notre Dame (23-3, 10-2 Atlantic Coast Conference). Jackie Young scored 15 with 10 rebounds for the Irish, who led by 29 at the half and mounted a 23-0 run that left them with an 88-29 lead after three quarters.

Taylor Soule scored 11 points for BC (14-11, 3-9). The Eagles were outscored 58-32 in the paint, 23-6 on second-chance points, and 22-11 in transition.

Notre Dame scored the first eight points of the game and never trailed. The Irish opened a 10-point lead less than four minutes in, made it 20 points with seven minutes left in the second quarter and led by 29, 51-22, at the half.

It was a 30-point lead on the first basket of the second half, 40 points less than four minutes later and 50 points 2 1/2 minutes after that. Notre Dame led 83-27 when Emma Guy made a hook shot to end a 5 minute, 55 second drought and end the 23-0 run.

By then, the only suspense was how quickly Ogunbowale would surpass current assistant coach Beth Morgan Cunningham's 2,322 career points. Ogunbowale, who entered the game needing 21 to tie, moved into second behind Skylar Diggins (2,357 points) with a 3-point play midway through the third quarter.

BC missed its first 10 attempts from 3-point range until Milan Bolden-Morris sank one with 6:44 left in the second quarter.

UP NEXT
Notre Dame: Visits No. 12 North Carolina State on Monday.

To BGIF: your message reminded me to publicly say that we all should applaudingly thank you for all the effort keeping us informed in detail about the Ladies and their Sagas in search of great results --- which Coach and they almost always deliver.

Thank you --- I'd give you green reps but you can't possibly need them --- the Leprechaun pot of green rep gold must be bursting its seams.

Thank you, Mike. The pot of gold is hefty but hasn't generated a rep since January 4th when Rebar, sent reps with the note, "Ok, that’s twice in two days you got me. Glad I wasn’t drinking milk this time."

DOWN GOES #5 MISS ST.

DOWN GOES #5 MISS ST.

FINAL Sophie Cunningham and Missouri 75 #5 Mississippi State 67.

State hit 50% of their Treys to Mizzou's 42.3% but the Tigers made 11 treys to the Dawgs 8.

Cunningham had 24 points after a night of little sleep. They think she had food poisoning and she got IV treatments and bed rest throughout the day missing the pre-game shoot around. She was all over the court. Perpetual motion.

Ariel Howard, MMS, scored 21 pts and had 6 rebs. She fouled out after sitting on the bench early with foul trouble.

MSS has a season low 39% shooting precentage.

Cowans had a double double, 13 pts 12 rebs but a short (no bigs) MU largely neutralized Cowans. MU plays a Forward with 4 guards. Their main Forward Porter played much of the game with 4 fouls and like Howard spent time on the bench but she managed to finish the game.

MU has a freshman guard Levy that plays like we ND fans expected Jordan Nixon to play. Handles the ball well. Give her space and she drives the basket. A couple of times she made nifty moves to drive around Cowans and score. Levy had 10 pts on 4-6 shooting.

Unranked MU, 19-7, has a RPI of 32 while MSS, 22-2 has a RPI of 6 against the #45 SOS.

JawJa gave #11 So Carolina a scare 65-57. Dawn Staley didn't like the way her Starting 5 opened the game so she sent ALL OF THEM TO THE BENCH and put in the Scrubs ... 5 of them. ND fans complain when Muffet pulls a player for a mistake either of commission or omission. Staley pulled the WHOLE FIRST TEAM.

Her 7 player bench put up 41 of of SC's 65 points. They hit 16 of 18 from the FT line while SC's starters hit 5-8.

Tough night in BIG.
OSU, with a losing record, beat #23 Rutgers by 20 in Piscataway.
Wisconsin, with a losing record, beat #24 MSU by 17 in Madison.

In the ACC, #21 FSU lost to Clemson by 5 on the road.
