Dont watch the fucking game then. Tune back in during the spring.

pretty simple really...

Lighten up, Francis. I'll watch the game and be fine either way. Not sure where the hostility is coming from, but whatevs.

Honestly, I haven't seen LSU play this year. But they've always been a strong running team with great defense and playmakers out wide. Don't think much has changed, has it?

I look forward to the game. Knowing ND, I don't see a victory, but the extra practices will be a great bonus to such a young team.

My comment is directed to pretty much everyone that posted "Oh no!!! We're gonna die!! The world is over!!! Why even bother!!"

You guys need to put your big boy pants on and stop complaining. Root for your squad, even if they have had it rough lately.

So yeah, I just chose your post out of the many posted. Think of it as a lottery!

I like this. LSU is beatable, they always play Bama well but other than that are always overrated. We got almost a month to prepare to stop the run, doesn't seem to impossible.

Go Irish.

whats your reasoning behind that? does not look good on paper:

Mobile QB's

Excellent Defense

Power running game

Game breaking WR's

116th ranked passing attack. Although they have the 29th ranked rushing attack, most of the problems, IMO, have been via the secondary. That is a much better matchup then say Texas A&M.

I understand everything with ND but I'm also not going to wave the white flag on December 7.

Hey, I'll watch and root hard for the Irish. Like I said, I'll be putting the maximum amount of points on ND in my survivor pool (because everyone else will put a lot of points on LSU), so I'll have even more incentive. Just don't see it working out for us, but I'm hoping for the best.

And yay for me! Do I get a prize, other than your affection?

Glad we have the opportunity to somewhat right the ship. A bowl victory against LSU would be something to be proud of, especially after the way our season ended. That being said, IMHO we either win by less than a field goal or get blown up. I'll pray for option #1. We will be heavy underdogs in Vegas.

Fournette better be ready for the preseason Heisman hype this game's gonna give him. And I don't know what has shown you guys that Zaire would be a better option than Golson against possibly the best defense we'll face. If Golson cleans up his fumble issues and his shoulder's better, there's no question in my mind that he gives us a better chance to win. I certainly wouldn't mind if Zaire got a drive or two though.

Listen to you guys, where has the fight gone??

Aye, play the SEC and we could lose. Against the Big 10 we could avoid embarrassment..... at least for a while. But dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here, make a stand and tell the world WE ARE ND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd have hope if our Defense didn't suffer so many casualties. We could of kicked their ass before we played Florida State. It's just we literally have no one left on Defense.

It's embarrassing seeing a fan base just straight give up.

And Michigan played OSU tough. Sometimes a close game means something about team equivalency, and sometimes it means Michigan. Since Les Miles is a Michigan man, I'm hoping for the latter.

Oh yes, Kelly's a mastermind at gameplanning, especially with a month to prepare.

So this is the 2nd time this has been posted in here. Over under on this joke set at 10.

That being said Jennings could throw the ball 5 times and Lsu wins by 20.

I'm excited for us to get the ball and see play action overthrown deep ball, run for 5 yards, and scramble and miss an out route to the boundary where 2 wideouts are open in the middle.

The fumble and turnover issue has been his most consistent trait throughout his entire football career to date. It would blow my mind if something changed over the next few weeks to change it. I would be very happy if that were to happen. I want to believe that Kelly's perpetual faith in Golson is based on something besides obstinacy.

Based on what I've seen, and admittedly as a non-expert, I would prefer to give Malik the start, or at least tag team him in as soon as Golson reaches his 2nd fumble of the first quarter.

For all of you guys who think this is a horrible match up for us you need to open your eyes. Yes maybe it has ass whoopin all over it, but this is a situation where we have nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain. It's not like we are playing LSU away, it should be a pro Notre Dame crowd. We win this game against a very good SEC team we gain some respect back heading into 2015, if we lose or get whooped well then we learn from it and know what we have to do to get better. It's a great test for our kids to match up against and a great experience. Bring on LSU!!

I've avoided the board for a while because the games were so terrible so I'm probably in the minority, but I'm still onboard with Golson. A large percentage of his INTs were flukes (batted passes, deflected, etc.) and some of the fumbles resulted from horrible protection. Now some of those fumbles were horrible and completely his fault. However, I did notice that he is protecting the ball better and sliding earlier instead of taking the hit. What I'm banking on is that he experiences the same 3rd-year bump that Quinn and Clausen did (Jimmy threw 17 INTs his sophomore year). Also, if he's not going to keep the ball on a read-option, can we please run from another freaking formation?
