Anyone else getting pumped for the start of the season?

If so, UND.com will have the exhibition game on tonight at 7pm.

I'm ready to check out Cam Biedscheid and Garrick Sherman. I've heard that Zach Auguste has a slight ankle issue and might not play.

Regardless, I think this team is about to have a real nice year!

I'll pay attention as soon as they start the year 8-0 and are in a national title hunt

Atkins and Grant attacking the basket early. Sherman is more athletic than I thought. He just had a nice offensive rebound and quick putback.

Halftime
Cam: hitting a couple 3s... you can tell he's not gonna be afraid of big minutes.
Garrick: rebounding, scoring, and passing... looking great.
Jerian: looking solid all around.
Atkins: playing incredible. finishing layups and a nice 3. great entry pass to jack.
Jack: Too good for this team. Dominating the paint.

Everyone has been looking solid, Tommy Knight looks perhaps the most "unprepared" but thats just getting picky.

Final score: a lot to a little.

This team is the deepest Brey has ever had, easily.
Should be a fun season.

I'm on my phone right now. I'll put it up later this evening.

I'll try to turn this thread into an overall bball thread. Because sometimes our bball news gets lost with football, especially this time of year.

I'll be updating this thread throughout the season.

Thanks.

Really think ND can be a top 10 team this year. This is the deepest team Brey has had in his years at ND. The backcourt of Atkins and Grant will be one of the best in the country IMO.

This year's team has a bench, plays defense, and can shoot the ball, look out. Top 10 in definitely not out of the question and I could see a final four run if they stay healthy and get on a roll.

7PM November 29th, lock it into your calendar, it could be very interesting!

Hard to get to interested in basketball until December with all the glorified scrimmages.

I am pumped to see this team in action though!

While beating UK is always a good thing, I wouldn't get too worked up about this game. They'll be good this year, but what made last year's team so great was the experience mixed in with those phenom freshmen. This year, it's back to just freshmen. ND, IMO, can and will beat them.

With that said, go Hoosiers!

It really sets the tone for the season regardless of how good KY end up being. Compete, let alone beat them and we move to the spotlight nationally early in the season.

I agree, so much so that I made a bet with my Kentucky friend that if ND won, he would wear ND gear at work, and if Kentucky won, I would wear Kentucky gear at work. Needless to say, I don't expect to be wearing Kentucky gear anytime soon. Go Irish!

Thinking about going to the game. Went to the first half of the Quincy game, and I was literally on the court, first row of student section. Jack Cooley is extremely impressive, Atkins appeared to work a lot on shooting in the off season, and Grant seems even more athletic. I was most impressed with Cam and Sherman though. Cam will be one of the best players we have ever had. At least one of the most athletic players. He can post you up, he can catch the back door alley oop, and he can shoot the three. Sherman is extremely athletic for a guy his size.

ND is running the ball now. Still might end up being a blowout. Let's hope. I want to see Auguste get solid minutes.
