What ever happened to free speech?Agreed. You could literally lip read multiple f bombs and the dumbass is surprised he got tossed. Lolzzz
Even if we can match what FSU would offer, I have close to zero confidence that he would choose the Irish.Heck of a win for the Irish last night! Let's get this one today.
On a bigger point- FSU got rid of their baseball coach. Jack needs to ink Link for a million per year. He's already done great things here and can do greater things.
Indeed. Of course the usual "jack doesn't care ... he's terrible at his job" shit will be a popular refrain.Even if we can match what FSU would offer, I have close to zero confidence that he would choose the Irish.

Maybe if Link had been here for 6 or 7 years, we would have a better chance. Two+ years, ND is just a pit stop on the way to the final destination.
Clemson not having a high quality team the last few years has been shocking. I can’t believe they have not been able to lock down top tier coaches recently. Crazy.Indeed. Of course the usual "jack doesn't care ... he's terrible at his job" shit will be a popular refrain.
On a side note Noie reports that not only did Link play with Mike Martin Jr at FSU but they were roomates!
Wonder if that will effect his decision. But there's always Clemson.
the vols have a lot of elite players that have egos i guess and like to get cocky with a lot of other teams amongst other things and last night a player went off on the umpire with really nasty words after a strike call and then the umpire kicked him out of the game. the anouncers were talking how the players act on the field during last game of the regional against GT and one said that as long as the players go to class regularly and get passing grades that tony the coach has then agreed to let them play with cocky emotions or something along those linesSo I only caught a few innings while on a date night with the wife,… I’m reading comments about how bad ‘they’ acted and such,… what exactly happened??
This article sums it up nicely. It was their center fielder who got ejected. In the top of the second inning when the Irish were up to bat, he was yelling into the infield arguing balls and strikes; on his way back to the dugout after the half inning concluded, the umpire crew warned him not to direct any comments to the crew or the other team.So I only caught a few innings while on a date night with the wife,… I’m reading comments about how bad ‘they’ acted and such,… what exactly happened??
yeah this game is over as were now down 9-0 still top of 5th. give UT credit as they are showing why they are the best team in the nationBertrand didn’t have it today. Anything could happen but it’s probably onto game 3. Hope they come out ready tomorrow.
Glad to have an expert on the board,… bet you scored five touchdowns in a city championship game too.I have played a ton of baseball and I have watched a lot of college this year and I don’t like the turf fields.
I have seen more fielders slip and lose their footing on just routine direction changes.
Glad to have an expert on the board,… bet you scored five touchdowns in a city championship game too.
🤣😂
Some expert,….Nope I sure didn’t.
As a former college baseball player, I’ll chime in lol. Turf as an infielder made life pretty damn easy to be honest. True hops as long as you adjusted for the extra “skip” you get on the turf (think of a bouncy ball on it’s second bounce).Glad to have an expert on the board,… bet you scored five touchdowns in a city championship game too.
🤣😂
Kids are playing travel ball predominately on turf fields. True bounces every time. Kids get to high school playing primarily grass fields and can’t handle it.
They are making continued improvements to turf fields. My sons college team just replaced theirs and they talked about how balls that bounce off the green portion of the turf bounce at a slower rate than balls bouncing off the brown section. Mimicking the differences between the grass and dirt sections of a natural field.
Will never be the same, but improvements nonetheless.
Yes, to the first part. So for example, the grass portion of the turf stands a little higher than the brown sections, just like a natural field. A bunt downs the 3rd base line, the roll of the ball can be impacted as the ball rolls off the edge of the green infield and hits the running lanes causing it to go foul similar to what happens on a natural field.I assume the do that by padding under the tuff and thickness of the turf?
Do they get more wear and tear on the uniforms from sliding?
Back when I played beer league softball for True Value Hardware we had one saying and one saying only: You have to drink at least one beer in the dugout between innings.Sunday fun day. If they have blacks, wear it. Always seal the deal on a Sunday in the blacks. Trust me as I’ve played in 4 NAIA College World Series. Blacks on Sundays.
Now, I don’t know shit about these men except that they are good. Them boys might be good too. Inning by inning, literally pitch by pitch…laser focus. Get it done
The landing spot is a nice feature but some pitchers still prefer the dirt mound. Also, no spikes on the mound. Just molded cleats or turf shoes.Yes, to the first part. My son is a pitcher and he much prefers pitching off an artificial mound because he knows he’s always got a consistent landing spot. Doesn’t have to worry about other pitchers tearing up the mound causing bad landing areas.
Not sure if there is any additional wear to jerseys.
Upset or no upset, I hope ND can hang onto coach Jarrett, but reality is reality.Last game with Coach Jarrett unless they pull off the upset.
