This one is pretty good, too. ND, Big 10 and Pac 12 schools that recruit nationally when the recruit is from the South.

New NCAA rule to positively impact Notre Dame recruiting

Look at the recruitment of Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson, an uncommitted and unsigned prospect from the class of 2016. The elite talent was able to drive to Alabama, Georgia and Georgia Tech for visits and was accompanied in the car by multiple family members. With Notre Dame, Robertson flew to South Bend and made that trip solo. If this rule was in place, his brother, a legal guardian and his mother could have made the trip with him. Who knows how it would have impacted his final decision, but according to most people connected with this recruitment, they believe that getting Robertston’s family on campus with him would have been enough to gain a commitment and eventually his signature on a letter-of-intent.

This ruling is huge for Notre Dame. It’s not easy recruiting on a national scale, but when you guarantee that one or two of a young man’s parents will be on campus for a visit, the staff can make it’s recruiting and truly make sure that it hits home with the entire family.

I can see this making a big impact for us. Of course, it's not going to hurt the others either.

No more stripper and prostitute parties. Unless, of course, the "guardians" are older brother and dad.

Or 18 years old just do on campus what they do at home. "Uh, mom and dad, I'm going out with the guys to meet some other students. We'll be at the library."

It's not going to help us anymore then any other school. I do wonder though if it'll make the recruits look at officials more seriously? To me it makes the process more professional i guess you could call it.

Funny how some recruits can visit Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama with their mothers, but visit ND alone. Nah, I bet that families probably don't make a difference. The "40 year decision" pitch most likely wouldn't matter to a parent anyway.

I would think it would matter more to the parents and hopefully make the kid take that into more consideration. 18 & 19 year old kids hear the "40 year decision" pitch, but we've seen so many put academics as a priority only to go to some schools that don't carry the same significance.
