Clippers and Doc Rivers parting ways.
Win now team that didn't win now. Big hire coming. Have to assume Lue is in the mix there.
Pretty funny that Lue was apparently choice No. 1 for the Lakers and he turned them down because he was afraid he'd get shitcanned quickly if he didn't produce a championship. To quote Michael Scott, "How the turn tables."
Interesting... I always thought the consensus was that Lue is not a good coach?

I think everyone that coaches Lebron gets that label, because it's assumed Lebron is also LeGM and LeCoach. I think nowadays Lue is pretty well respected as a good team chemistry coach who can motivate stars and has some great play calling out of timeouts.
I'm not going to pretend to be able to tell if he's a good coach myself, because I'm barely qualified to talk about football coaching and that's a much easier sport to discern good/bad coaching and I've watched about 100x more football than basketball in my life.
Maybe if Doc had spent more time coaching than on the political front he would have had better success.
Heard several teams want to speak with Lue.

Quite a few coaches and players in the bubble have been addressing current events, not just Rivers, so my interpretation of this post is you don't like what he said. Fair jab to take on your part, but Leonard and George not scoring in the fourth quarter of Game 7 must mean they had their minds on other things too, be it political or otherwise.
Who's the pick here in the finals?
I went to a Bulls game last Oct/Nov when they played the Heat. That team can burn a hole through the net. My hope is that Butler keeps that alpha attitude against Lebron and pulls it off.
No not at all. I have posted numerous times on the need for police reform and equality. Here at work I've been called the United Nations because my staff has consisted of Women (about half of my staff), Ukrananes, Hispanics, Blacks, Millenials with a few white guys sprinkled in.
My point was the time he spent discussing politics, he could have been working on the mental toughness of the team, particularly George. Blowing a 3-1 lead says a lot IMO.

You're suggesting he spent that much time talking about it that it interfered with his doing a job and they ultimately lost the series to Denver?
Wow.
Heat in 7. Adebayo gets FMVP over Butler. Dragic and Herro have a few great games in them.
Rough start for the Heat.
Not the only reason, but yes.
Ouch. They started out hot then just got demolished.
Perfect summary.
Davis was a force, Lebron was an assist away from a triple double. Outrebounded 54-36. Shake it off and come back for Game 2.
They got pretty beat up. I havent seen anything final on Dragic but im guessing torn achilles EDIT: torn left plantar fascia. It was non contact.
Bam will most likely be able to play but he wont be the same with a bum shoulder.
I expect Butler to be fine with the ankle sprain.
ESPN saying Dragic and Adebayo doubtful for game 2.
I'll be real surprised if Dragic has much PT let alone impact rest of series. Plantar Fasciitis is terrible let alone a torn one.
Heat missing their leading scorer and rebounder from playoffs is a huge hit.
Interesting theory. The entire bubble has been pretty engaged in current events from the start.
I think they got really really tired and lost because they didn't play well.
In a related matter, Doc was hanging with Sixers people yesterday. Sounds like he's headed there to fill that vacancy.
