Just found out that the local bar will be opened at 0700 and that the local ND club may or may not be there. Whatever, I will be two beers deep when kick off happens.

We will be slamming some blue corn pinon pancakes, Christmas red/green chili breakfast burritos, papas con carne, and bloody beers with a transitioning pure twack.

This is going to be a great day!

Probably heading over to Grubls for the game. Slamming some red bulls maybe blowing a couple lines of pixie sticks. Talking about all the cougars we hooked up with. By kickoff i figured with all the Red Bull and Pixie Sticks in me I should have way to much swag. All I know is I am getting ****ing wreckless. Also posting on bangbangNDgang all day that day too. Honestly though no plans all i know is I am getting drunk and eating the best food in the world, Cinnamon Toast Crunch aka CTC.

I'll be watching the game at home. Not enough time or money to take a trip to Dublin. Nothin' fancy to eat, just some cereal and some coffee. I will be watching the game alone too, considering it starts at 9 AM. It'll be a nice, relaxed environment... Well, until the game starts.

Go Irish!!

Pretty much exactly what I will be doing but it starts at 7 AM where I live. :sigh:

I'll be meeting up with some friends from ND who ,are coming over for the game, in Cork on the Friday night. We're heading to the Cork City -v- Shamrock Rovers game. Then drinks and driving to Dublin in the morning.

This guy won't be watching it.

...because this guy will be camping in Indiana with the in-laws.

...this guy will never watch a college football game on Labor Day weekend ever again because this is an annual event.

...this guy loves camping with the family but deep down inside there is a die hard Irish fan balling his eyes out locked in a cage.

Stadiums here are not like stadiums in the states. they are in the middle of a residential area & as such there are probably restrictions as to how many events are allowed start later

I will be in Chi-town that weekend for the North Coast Music fest... so I have no idea where me and my buddies will be watching the game. I do know that we will be waking up extremely early, extremely hungover, and that we are heading up to Wrigelyville from Lincoln Park to watch the game. If any of you Chicago guys know where the go to ND bar is in Wrigleyville, please let me know. My one buddy mentioned going to Blarney Stone, or Irish Oak, which I think are right by Merkles...?

Please don't complain about the time. For the first time in tv history the timing of a sports event is not centered off California. I will be relishing the fact that the west coast will be hurting getting out of bed that early to watch a game.

In order to roast the chile. Fire up your grill, oven broiler with the rack closest to the element, or gas range. Char the outside of the chilies until blackened all over. Put chilies in brown paper bag and wrap with towel to sweat the chilies. After 45 minutes, start peeling the chilies. If your skin is sensitive to Capsaicin I recommend using surgical gloves. Don't touch your or your significant others genitals afterwards (don't ask me how I know). Dice chilies, add salt/pepper and garlic to taste. Grab a warmed tortilla add bacon, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and cheese. Breakfast of champions.

I make homemade roasted red peppers this exact same way. I usually put them on a sandwich or mix them in some pasta. The first time I tried cooking them this way i was shocked how easy it was. So Dank!

I'm def going to try you green chilli recipe and toss them into some salsa and breakfast burrittoS. Thanks for sharing

I told my dad I had started saving some cash to go to Ireland for the game, so he asked when it was. I told him Sept 1, so he answers, "Oh, damn, I'm getting married the day before that." And that's how I found out that my dad was getting married, and that I would not be leaving the country for the first time.

I told him I would attend his wedding only if he is okay with me drinking, yelling, and generally being a nuisance in the hotel hallways the next morning at 7am when I start to prepare for the game. He enjoyed this idea.

So, I plan on getting up at 6:45am in the hotel, getting a nice hungover shower in, and then cracking open my first beer and powering through the hangover with Rolling Rock and some breakfast. Then I will wake everyone in the general area up with a stirring rendition of the Victory March, before leaving to watch the game in a clubhouse on a golf course, as my coworkers take part in a golf outing at 10:00am. It's gonna be a great 48 hours.

R U SERIAL?

Ha, no offense to you or anything, but Rolling Rock is awful! Last party we had someone brought 10 tallboys (they were 10 for 10 at Kroger) of Rolling Rock and no one could stomach it. We had some artsy fartsy types and some Miller Light (blegh) types, not one of them could do it.

I'm thinking of having all the gang over for some breakfast and coffee around 7. Then get some easier drinking beers to start the day (Summer Shandy, Honey Brown, etc.) once the game starts, then moving on to the Busch and Bud Lights when we get to the lake after the game. Maybe do a booze cruise and keep track of the other games via phone.

That's all assuming Notre Dame wins of course.

Should all hell break loose, I will be locked in my basement gripping an empty handle of McCormicks vodka with 20 empty boxes of tissues around me. I'll probably die down there eventually.

My parents asked my wife and I to camp the weekend of the Oklahoma game. My first question: "Does your camper have satellite? If not, where is the closest bar?"

Where there's a will, there's a way.

About the Navy game: I'll be closing the family lake cottage in Michigan unfortunately. But will undoubtedly start my day off with breakfast and a screw driver before settling in to watch the game.

I dont make a green chile sauce for my burritos. I use chopped roasted hatch green chile from New Mexico or Anaheim peppers can work in a pinch.

Thanks for this! I'll give it a try!
